Game crashes are game breaking and a lot of people are experiencing them right now.

But the question is will they be fixed by then. Given that they are actually a fairly dedicated company who has probably been working around the clock for the last couple of weeks, I think they can fix it.

I'm not saying it shouldn't be delayed, because it is critical they have a smooth release. This isn't BF or CoD where people are mindless zombies or they can basically throw money at it to fix bugs.

They seem to be able and willing to push out patches out for a beta fairly quickly - we've had two patches for a beta in less than a week, no? A third is likely this week. Obviously they are working quite hard at it to get it right - considering we had a patch on a weekend (3 day weekend for many in the US to boot)... I think they have plenty of time.

But, that does affect reviews, and bad reviews mean less player base, and smaller player base may mean less support, less DLC, less everything.

Didn't look at it from a sales point of view...

Game needs more time, but they don't have any room. If they wait even a week they'll be way to close to BF3 launch. Then theres MW3, CS:GO beta, D3 beta, dota 2 beta, resistance 3, uncharted 3, gears of war 3, bioshock infinite...

They need to jump the gun on this one IMHO, it's a shame it'll be harshly judged by the critics. None the less it'll be another great tripwire game...

i don't want to wait. i ain't got no DDE and i'm already saving up bandwidth to prepare for this download. you don't want all my time wasted do you. i don't allow myself to use more then 700mb bandwidth a day. no youtube, no movies, no ro for long hours even. text only.

Well they could possibly do it in 9 days but I wish they would wait a week and give it some more polish, exp with prone. It seems your always are to close to something, cant they just bump your avatar our what ever a inch or a foot out to where it can BE Done?

THe game is still full of bugs, with only one week before the full release. A 2 weeks would be better for it

Last build was good for me, a few minor crashes now and then, sound disappearing once in a while forcing a game restart, but all in all gave me a great impression of how the game will run. Current build just released, has me crashing 5 minutes into the game, id like to see the new maps, but at the moment am waiting for a new build to come out. If its a variable in place that shouldnt be, should be easily fixed and swiftly, but if the game crashes 5 minutes into joining a server, it is not a playable product and not ready for launch (Considering last builds mostly stable performance, I know my rig can handle the game, even if it is rather meagre)

Being unfamiliar with previous builds having not been a beta tester for more than a few days due to DDE, I cannot say how fast things get sorted out, I would prefer the game to be ready and playable sooner, but that is because I enjoyed the last few days, but if they have to take a little longer to iron out problems, I will understand, and lets face it, most games are released these days with day one patches.

IF they don't have performance fixes by launch, then i say give them another month. I'm running high end components and have poor performance, along with many others.

I have to say, I'm completely shocked by the number of bugs. I got into this beta thinking I was going to be reporting possible optimizations, but it seems like those are all out the window due to the number of bugs. I have played many betas and I have never seen one this buggy. The BF3 alpha was months ahead of release, and it had far fewer bugs.

The game really does need to be delayed a little. I'm scared if they don't they will focus too much on fixing bugs, and wont ever fix the other things that need to be fixed like the ridiculous bandaging system.

Hmm, I wonder why...You've got big old greedy EA/DICE/etc...with 1000's of people working for them...and then you've got TWI...who's a small company with 2 people working on the game hehe (exaggeration).

I wonder why BF3 would be less buggy than RO2...it has so many people working on the game at one time, while TWI has a small group of people trying to fix a game that they've spent years on making, compared to EA's 1 year wonder games, and games like COD...new one every damn year...which is just the same thing as last years.

RO2 actually comes out with new game modes/maps/fun/cover system/etc!..which, sadly, comes with bugs and needs US to test them.

Greedy companies that don't give a damn about their fans, will release a few patches, that don't even do anything...Unlike TWI who will release new content, fixes, etc to make their fans happy...and sure, there will be terrible reviews, but that's because they are COD fanboys who love playing arcade type child games, that are mentally challenged and are able to shoot an smg 5000m across the map and head shot someone (exaggeration again).

So I'm not at all saddened about the bugs/optimizations/etc in the Beta for this game...any small company will have tough challenges...but Small companies are my favorite companies (TripWire Interactive, Bohemia Interactive, Taleworlds, etc)...they actually care about their fans, and not just about the revenew they will bring in with their next multi million dollar arcade pew pew pew shooters, with un realistic everything about it.

That's my view on it...small companies FTW, greedy big companies that care about little children screaming into the mics, and cussing at people non stop calling them "faggots", etc. FTL.

Idk if anyone else agrees with me on this, or if my long list of text will have anyone read it...but oh well, that's my opinion

Yes, if its this buggy during 'open' beta they should delay a week or two.

Same thing happened to Bad Company 2, the Beta was buggy but the full game was worse.

All hail the mighty indie! Blurring the line between bugtesting, betas, and final release since the early days of the mod!

Would Minecraft be where it is if it weren't for it's running bugtesting/beta structure? Would Lugaru/Overgrowth be as popular without the constant beta releases? Would most indie devs be able to stay afloat and expose us to their innovative and interesting ideas without a regular release of updated betas and bugtests? Nay!

So let other companies release their bugless games that don't try anything new or push any boundaries on gaming. I'll stick to my small timers actually trying to release new and innovative games.

They've been squashing bugs on a consistent basis. There don't seem to be way too many left, or at least not many major ones. There are also tuning problems left within some game mechanics such as cover system, but that shouldn't be too hard. The game runs fine for me at least.

Overgrowth is in Alpha and it's not coming out in 9 days either.

RO2 is 9 days away from release and it has serious issues right now. We're only on the second batch of maps and 90% of people cannot even play the game.

I love this game.

BUT, it needs AT THE BARE MINIMUM, another month of bugfixing/feature-fixing in order to get the amount of sales/positive reviews they want.

That being said (ad nauseum), the CORE of the game is goddamn fantastic, I've had some of the most epic FPS moments ever in the game.

I'd say it could easily use another two weeks or more of testing and optimization. Some serious show stopping bugs and incomplete features still remain with just 8 days to go. However, TWI already delayed it once, and I highly doubt they will do it again. I suspect it will be released on the 13th, ready or not, and then patched up in the month following release.

Yeah true BF3 alpha was quite playable, but people delaying the game doesn't fix bugs.
