I bet most of the RO2 player havet ever seen this really great done slide animation.
I have noticed it last year in one of your official Trailer, never seen it in the game before.
A lot of people are really suprised to see that animation and hear that it is part of the game since release in 2011.

I have play 10 Minutes of Insurgency and have done and see nearly the same animation 3 times.

If we want to slide we need to sprint to some cover and press the "use" button when we are close to it. A combination no one really use...
And I don

You know, for some odd reason late last night, I was thinking about this because I don't use it. Not so much changing the keys, but what key combination it is.

Thanks for bringing it up. The "Sprint" and "Use" key are just fine for me since I have my own keyboard configuration remapped. I just need to practice it :p

No problem :D

But the problem is that no body use it, because sprint + use is no typical combination when you are clos to some cover.
I, and I think a lot of other player use sprint + crouch much often if they want to use a some cover after they sprint.

And this animation is just a eye candy, so it will bring you no advantage. so why people should use a untypical keyboard combo?

So I think it would be much better so change the keybound to a more typical combo to see that animation much more in a regulat game ;)

Wow, I had no idea that existed, that's actually really cool. They should also put that into the tutorial if its not already in there.

Being cool to see would be enough for me to use it, but sprint is left shift and use is left ctrl, and physical reality being what it is, it's non-trivial to use one left pinky-finger to actuate both keys at the same time (while other fingers are busy with WASD). I suppose even making the slide happen requires a keyboard slide of sorts... but ya it could be easier.

I sprint with "F" and press "Ctrl" to crouch. :D

I would be read yto change it by my own in the config. But I have no clue how. How is the "slide" binding called? How can I change sprint+use to sprint+crouch e.g.? Would it work? If I just change the binding?

I sprint in a crouch quite often - but I guess I could see that being one way to enter the cover system, going from standing sprint to crouching sprint close to cover... I dunno, seems like it would be another thing that ends up accidentally putting you into the cover system when you didn't intend it. But I don't know what the solution should be...

 Didn't know that they had a slide animations, TWI what else are you hiding from us?!
You could incorporate a modified version of it into IOM, by incorporating a ROSpecialMove_*Name Here*.uc into the mutator. Which I believe would allow you execute this.

I really hope to see it changed in IOM. And it really need to be changed, such a cool animation, but nearly no one have ever see it in game. Why not? I mean when I would be one of the Devs, and I have create this animation i really would like to see it in game.

And with a more typical key combination we would have the Chance to the it much more in game. I don't want to see every is sliding every time, but much more than it is now.
And yes, it's just eye candy, but it's cool
