I noticed I'm not awarded with my kills, experience, etc if a game ends prematurely. Imo, this needs to be changed. There's been times where my game has crashed, I've been kicked or just want to enjoy a short game of RO2 before work yet I'm not awarded my earned experience.

People should be given whatever they've earned whether or not the game has finished or not.

No. Just no.
It should stay just the way it is now, that your game crashes is not a good reason to change it.
Making people stick around to collect their scores is a good way to combat point farming and to stop people from leaving as soon as the battle starts going bad for them.
No points if you abandon the battle, it's very fair and gets rid of scum that would otherwise join, collect a few easy points and then disconnect.

If you can't stick around for the match to end you haven't earn s**t!

Sure, sometimes games crash, but that shouldn't hold this excellent feature back.

lol so because I only have 20 minutes to play instead of 40 I shouldn't get credited any points?

That's just silly. Little bit of snobbery going on there, folks. You're basically suggesting I shouldn't play the game unless I'm willing to either not rank up, or can sit down for 40+ minutes to collect my points.

Totally agree with you.

Points should be awarded at the end of the round, not at the end of the match. And yeah, Im still experiencing crashes.

Thank god the campaing didn't get into the game. Then we would have people saying you should only get XP/kills when thats done. 2-4 hours.

I admit I've lost some points because of this, but I think it should stay the way it is. The stats are geared more towards teamwork and winning a match, which I like. So a player should have to stay until the match is decided to get credit because how your team does overall is the most important aspect of the game.

Here's a hint: If you crash, rejoin right away to the same server. Your match statistics stay exactly as they were as long as the map hasn't changed yet.

If you quit early you probably don't have a whole lot of stats to collect anyhow. Yellonet covered most of the issue, many games have functioned similarly for over ten years already (especially strategy games, to punish people who leave early and rob the winner of his satisfaction).

Gears of War was unplayable as a ranked game because people cared so much about stats they didn't want to stick around to play more skilled opponents. If you helped finish off an enemy your team mates would accuse you of "frag stealing", abuse you verbally and rage quit.

Okay, I'll just farm what I want and then afk, taking up a slot on your team? Perfect logic.

Still can't agree. A lot of people that have joined RO2 aren't the hardcore fans that played RO1. A lot more casual gamers play this that have many other commitments outside of the game.

So far today, my game black screened when I had collected around 200 points, I got kicked from another game for talking about my casts, and other times I'd like to play RO when I've got 20 minutes before I have to leave for work.

Do many busy adults with a hectic schedule really have time to commit 40 mins for a game at a time?

I had a 60 kill streak going and I accidentally bounced a grenade off the top of the window and got kicked for team killing when it blew up on the guys next to me and then I lost all my kills + score. Why aren't the stats saved periodically in game? I know in BF3 it saves every time you respawn. :/

But how many captures and defenses did you have?

afaik, many of the stats from the server are not uploaded until the end of the map so they won't show up on your stats page until you sync back up with Steam.
