KF Players not loading maps...

Hello! New member here. Been playing KF for years, and have hosted listen servers for a long time w/o issues. However, ever since last November, I have been having issues with my friends not being able to load maps once they connect. Sometimes it is the dreaded index.rom error, but more often, it seems that they just get a black screen with only an occasional loading message. (It lies, they never load.) This is on both custom and standard maps. I only run 4-5 custom maps currently, and two of them (Afghanistan and Doomed) are working fine. I cannot get them to connect to/load Farm, Crash, Mountain Pass, etc. About the only maps we can consistently play on are Biotics Lab, West London, Ice Breaker, and the 2 custom maps already mentioned. Please note that even if we start on BL, and then try to load Crash (for example), they are all hosed.

I am currently at a loss. These are all maps that we were able to play on previously. I know they are connecting, because I can disconnect the server, and they will get notified that the server is offline. (They do not, however, always get prompted for the password.) Any help will be appreciated.

FYI, I am currently running Scrn Balance, and a ton of custom weapons, but all my players have already installed the mods/muts so don't think it's a downloading issue. (I copied all the files to a USB drive and they copied them to their directories at a LAN party.)

There is a limit to how many packages can be loaded at a given time. Too many, and this is exactly what happens (weapons, skins, mutators, etc). Keep in mind, every map has its own set of packages to load too.

Either remove some mods or give marco's package remover a try to free up un-used packages:

Thanks, Slie!! That was it exactly. I had already installed that mod on my server, but for whatever reason, it never occurred to me to have the clients do it as well. I can't believe that I never thought of that.
