How about you guys just let it be until you can actually play the game, then go ahead and cry about it.
because intelligent people understand that it's better to be proactive than reactive

It's standard issue yes and that's what the realism servers are forIn true to life history Bayonets and drum mags are standard issue but in a game (relaxed realism mode) it's something you gain from experience. I don't see where the issue is. To but it simply we're catering to two different sides of the fence. There's one side that wants load outs standard issue equipment and that's important to them and their experience. We offer that. Then there's the other side of the fence that only cares to feel like their in a real war, use real tactics and is fine with abstracting certain elements to make the game fun and addictive like progression, becoming a hero and getting to use rare gear that only a select few would ever get there hands on.
Since when is expressing opinions and concerns "crying"?
The whole point of speaking about things like this now, instead of when the game is already out, is that TWI takes not of these concerns and maybe does something about it, or at least responds to the questions raised.
Many of those "hardcore" fans have been supporting TWI since the very beginning, I'm sure TWI isn't just gonna neglect them. When there is consistent btching about things TWI has worked hard to put into the game. They're not going to take player progress away so that some hardcore fans will be happy.

i'm sorry, since when is providing valid constructive criticism considered "*****ing"? also, i love the intentional dropping of the i in the word in order to bypass the language censor....if you're going to use "big boy words", at least use the words and let the "*"s do what they are meant to do.
the only "hardcore" fans are the SS realism fanboys that existed even during ROOST....they are few. the majority of people that played RO simply expect RO in RO2. the current appearance of the progression system is not what TW lead us to believe for the past 2 years of marketing this game. they have told us over and over again that unlocks and progression would not impact gameplay and would mostly be cosmetic.....however we have been watching in shock and disbelief as we go from rare weapons that there's no proof were ever used in the battle (most have just given up and said whatever, our servers won't use them), to bogus avatar ability buffs, to inaccurate uniform attributes for awards etc... (ex. the ninja stormtrooper), and now the most absurd thing nobody would have ever expected......the bayonet, which was standard issue to every infantryman during the war, as an unlockable.
the community that has supported RO and TW for the past half decade are not happy and some would even say they feel a small sense of betrayal. all people want is a Classic RO gamemode to give us the game we expected. if TW is going to devote an entire gamemode that caters to bringing in casual COD/BF players, then it's the least they can do to respect those who got them to where they are now. call it a sense of entitlement if you wish, but that's not really what it is......it's simply people dedicated to preserving the spirit of RO.
You caught me, yes next time i'll be a mature adult and let it go to the language censor... anyhow, I understand how *****ing is the wrong word for it. But what I have seen from TWI is that they are giving out many many options for RO, for the lovers of the classic, and for some new ideas being put into play hoping to broaden the fanbase and accessibility. There is nothing wrong with trying out new things, and if there are the options to do away with player progress, hud, etc... what is the problem exactly? If the problem is that some fans are just pissed off because these things are going to be an option at all then that's when I say get over it, and quit the *****ing. You see what I did there? big boy words..

All I'm going to say at this point is I cannot believe some of you are actually planning to play on the servers with unlocks.
Anyway, I think after the third time you play a game with metagame levelups, you'll get tired of it. As with all "metagame" mechanics, it's just a pointless hack attempt to play on people's obsessive compulsive behavior with a shallow shell of weak, superfluous mechanics that contribute nothing to the gameplay experience. It's the reason I don't play Call of Duty. Why would I buy a new Call of Duty game? So I can unlock everything all over again? etc. It gets old, I'm just warning you now.
Why not give it a shot? I probably won't be playing on them 24/7, but I'm going to at least check it out for a bit and see how I like it.
If you have to use a bayo on a rifleman your doing it wrong

Blasphemy. The Mosin-Nagant and its bayonet belong together at all times.
You got to remember you'll never have a game that's 100% perfect.
I will enjoy unlocks even though I'm not a fan, Progression is rewarding regardless of what you get for it.

Excuse me, but I don't understand this comment. Progression is just locking weapons and accessories until you have access to them. What does that get you?
