That is exactly what my post was trying to convey. Being in a good defensive spot is where you want to be or quickly get to. Go through the KF levels and every level has one.

Manor - cave directly infront of the dock, biotics - U room, W. london - either in front of the church or in the tunnels with the buses, Wrye, ontop of the fort thing, etc.

I reluctantly agree with ScarFace, that those tried and true spots mean win (though not so sure about the Wyre fort - zombies still climb up and its hard to hit the energizer bunny bloat from hell in the head).

However it gets really boring guys, really. The solution is to play other maps not just the original 5. To get skills that mean you can wander a map while fighting (need a whole team that can do this), and testing out defensive locations. To make my own maps that specifically encourage this playstyle.

The problem is that most people are content to grind the same camp spots over and over, such that they would might as well be playing maps like doom2, defence, doomed. Oh, wait..

I like to enrage the closest fleshpound at the exact time i disappear around a corner. Usually you need to let them know it was on purpose to get a rage quit. Friendly fire servers are also an option.

Most friendly fire servers have admins that'll permaban you for anything like that... Just ask Gus...

And let's not forget that some servers do share banlists with some other servers, so if you really are an *** at one server one might find it "omgwtfisthis****" when you try some random server and realize you're banned, despite the fact you've never played there before.

A good defensive location is half the battle won.

sure that's true, but if somebody loses because they suddenly can't use that spot anymore for some reason, then they obviously need to practice more.

anybody can be good at camping, not everyone can be good at adapting to changes and winning no matter what happens in game.

Not sure why a random troll deserved an entire thread. We've all experienced jerks at some point or another, don't give them the satisfaction of evoking a response from you.

As for camping, it's human instinct to find a place that's relatively easy to defend and camp there, and it is the best strategy. Of course sometimes it's beneficial to rotate camping spots, but it's never a good idea to wander around the map (alone or as a group). You're playing a co-op survival game, not going for a stroll through the woods.

If you don't enjoy the game because you camp the same spots over and over again you are doing it wrong.

Reminds me of a normal game on farm when most of the team locked itself in some farm while 2 of us were outside. Well, we died but we also had very funny moments involving fleshpounds and running berserkers and I'd rather die that way rather than survive by dwelling in some building on an open map, especially when the difficulty is so low.

Allow me to boil down all of your posts into one:

If you're not having fun playing, you're doing it wrong.

When you're 2 to handle the zeds for 6 in a later wave yes you can, especially as a lvl3 beserker. Plus the fact that I'm far from being a pgm.

I didn't think it was possible to die on normal...lol

Even i've died a few times on normal @L6, usually on offices while zerking

Idiot team holes up somewhere, gets wiped by weak crap, leaves me with almost a whole mid-game wave and almost every door welded

Invariably, i WILL end up getting caught somewhere with enemies on 3 sides and sirens/husks buried behind them in about 1 in 10 of those situations

At that point it's just chainsaw madness and /sigh

See above, it happens to the best of us

As for the (Pointless) topic, Just play on/Run an antiblock server without FFm they try to block you, and they get owned when you just walk through them, for me, My server is usually antiblock + Pounda/Hellfire, and especially on Hellfire they ragequit FAST

I would like to take the opportunity to encourage my fellow players to either votekick or kill "Prince of Tennis" via Friendly Fire.

Regarding the latter, he is only on servers with that enabled, and for reasons you can infer easily. After he's done killing you he likes to "Pro" a six man wave with an m14.

Dude, I am the only Chris here at Tripwire.

That may be true. I only have the name I do because I suck at setting up names and this is my first forum. When I set it up I never thought about what it would look like when I post.

I submit. I submit. I was ignorant. I'm not worthy!!

I just played a match where someone spent the whole match (in bioticslab on hard) blowing one of the doors open in the place where ppl usually post up at. To which I say "why are you grenading those doors open you're getting us killed". His response is "y not". Then he spends every round after doing the same thing, but, he has some new tricks up his sleeve. He blocks the trader door every time he can get there first. He also started standing in front of me while im sniping FP's (his face to my face like we're sparring). His next move is to hang out behind me not doing anything, just making sure if I need to back up i cant. For god knows what reason the "ban player" feature was not available.

Just needed to get that out.

oh yeah he was smug about it too...
Two things, keep grenades from damaging doors and disable player collision during trader time. This whole problem could be solved in a small patch. TWI, are you listening? There is no reason for this to have happened in the first place.

i used to really like Gus' server, but hes a little picky on his maps, and i dont like this new thing he added that changes words into sentences. like for example, im in there having a good game, and something funny happens, i type "lol" and it changes it to, "oh how i laughed so hard just now blablabla". SERIOUSLY ANNOYING!
