I just played a match where someone spent the whole match (in bioticslab on hard) blowing one of the doors open in the place where ppl usually post up at. To which I say "why are you grenading those doors open you're getting us killed". His response is "y not". Then he spends every round after doing the same thing, but, he has some new tricks up his sleeve. He blocks the trader door every time he can get there first. He also started standing in front of me while im sniping FP's (his face to my face like we're sparring). His next move is to hang out behind me not doing anything, just making sure if I need to back up i cant. For god knows what reason the "ban player" feature was not available.

Just needed to get that out.

oh yeah he was smug about it too...

Heh, I feel your pain. Public server griefers and hijackers are what reduce me to want to Solo when making vids/guides. It only takes one jerk to ruin the experience, especially towards the endgame waves.

Suicidal Pubs tend to be the worst for that in my experience...

One possible solution is to favorite a server in which there is anti-blocking. Players can't obstruct/restrict eachother's movement.

-Or-

Know an active admin on the server you favorite, so he can deal with any griefers/hijackers on the spot.

people will do that to be douches because they think that camping is cheating. just vote kick em out. if the server doesn't have vote kick on, change servers to one that has it enabled.

As I stated earlier difficulty was hard, and kick vote was not an option.

And as far as camping being cheating...if that's how someone feels about the game we'll just let them keep smoking crack. I can understand trying new spots as I cannot stay in the same place always. But if you're sabotaging a match with low level players on hard that's really fu*kin rude.

You have some friends you play with? If not friend up with those that have your play style in mind, you will quickly get in a group once on a kick server can deal with any grief play. For some reason FPS guru's think there is an ego thing attached to KF when its pure team play that gets the hard maps on the hard/suicide difficulties.

I think etiquette applies when you join a server if there is obviously a team playing you try and fit in by asking what is needed, then complying, simple as that really. If its mayhem then mayhem is fair game, it wont last long anyway most of the time.

I guess you could just not rely on that door on biotics lab (fight somewhere else).

Granted that doesn't solve the problem of griefers, although maybe he is like me and can't understand why people continually play stock maps like biotics lab and fight in the same boring place? But I wouldn't go that far... I just host other maps and hope someone join.

You should play some CS:S for about a month. By the time you're done your tolerance for this kind of sh** will have skyrocketed.

IF you can take a whole month of 13-year olds who think they're hilarious. Personally, I couldn't, so I moved onto better games...

Not all 13 year olds are like that.

Said replier is not one.

lol good point. if you have to rely on camping a certain spot in order to win, you're doing it wrong.

I think your overstating the situation. Some places work better than others. Places where the zombies can only come from one direction etc. If your in the open you lose its that simple, esp. on the higher difficulties.

Not quite true.....Farm attests to that.

Usually maneuvering space, visual/firing range at ZEDs, terrain(flatness, obstacles), and number of ZED entry points determine how desirable a location is.

Even on Suicidal you'll see some retarded players forcibly trying to defend a terrible location. I'm given a choice of leaving, heading off by myself and dying, or staying with the team.

Usually results in a resequenced version of staying with the team, dying, and then leaving.

A good defensive location is half the battle won.

That is exactly what my post was trying to convey. Being in a good defensive spot is where you want to be or quickly get to. Go through the KF levels and every level has one.

Manor - cave directly infront of the dock, biotics - U room, W. london - either in front of the church or in the tunnels with the buses, Wrye, ontop of the fort thing, etc.

I've dealt with these people before. It's actually quite amusing. You warn them at first then if they persist, put them in a situation where they get swarmed. Just before they die just say "This is what you get" and then they rage quit. It's especially funny when it's a scrake that kills them and a couple seconds after they die you see 3 crossbows plow through the scrake's head.

I like to enrage the closest fleshpound at the exact time i disappear around a corner. Usually you need to let them know it was on purpose to get a rage quit. Friendly fire servers are also an option.
