Ping is 500 - 600, before it was 50?

Hi,

Im having high ping and lag problems ingame, this only started earlier today. It was running at 50 ping or less with no lag, but now it's up at 500 - 600 ping in every game? i've tried restarting pc and i have nothing downloading. how can i fix this? thanks.

Yeah, exactly the same issue for me. I've not issues with games before, but my ping varies. Some times, I'll get it at 50 and the game'll play fantastically, then it will randomly shoot up to anything up to 1000 and it's practically unplayable. Pain the ***, I'm really enjoying the game. Any help with this from anyone would be great!

My guess is that it's probably a temporary problem with your internet connection. It will probably correct itself, but keep us posted

The same thing just happend today, i was getting about 50 ping for 2 - 3 games then is suddenly shoots upto 600 and i lag like hell, i tried several other games and my ping is normal, only seems to be happening on Killing Floor. Note: I need to type "reconnect" on the console because im useing a speedtouch router.

More people have been suddenly experiencing this after the update, there are some more threads about it further down the page.

Same here. I've stopped playing, can't do much of anything with that much lag.

me got a funny situation. Whenever there're two sirens appear, my ping sky-rocket to 300+, and I die. 90% lag come from this duo-singer...
