Picking up grenades

Did a search and found nothing, just wondering if it's possible to pick up the grande an enemy threw at you and throw it back at them or away?

It would be a nice addition to the game, but the majority of grenades flying around at any given time have already been primed for a few seconds.

Nope. Not possible (thank goodness). You can however pick up nades that have been dropped by people who have been killed.

most people prime the grenades first so they blow up right before they touch the ground..

Roundhouse kicking grenades back into peoples skulls would be awesome though. Damn someone needs to make an equilibrium or chuck norris game.

it would be bad becuase newbs would try to throw them back them they see the being thrown, when people who have played more than an hour know to prime the grenades so they explode rigt before hitting the ground.

In short: It'd be useless. There are better features to add.

Well perhaps one should get rid of the unrealistic priming of Grenades... or make it a bit unreliable... Those Airburst Grenades don't add to the Atmosphere...

Au contraire, i have read about plenty of skilled grenadiers who did just that during the war

Well the Problem with Games is that 60% of all Players act like those skilled Grenadiers, thus resulting in Nade Spamm, which doesn't seem tooo realistic. Not that there is a way around that anyway

i dont know but if i was in the war and sitting in a trench and a grenade landed next to me........id rather try to pick it up and chuck it back rather than saying..........o thats already primed im f***ed

Hence the idea of having the fuses be randomized a bit.

If this was done, then I wouldn't mind seeing grenades you could throw away. I'd suggest though in the case of picked up grenades about to go off, that the default throw would switch to underarm, as that's probably a faster throw.

Just a fast way of getting rid of it, as long as i don't die Even if that means someone else has a problem

I just posted on a "sprint-crawl" suggestion for those "oh sh*t" times when a nade lands near you. You'd drop your rifle, and shuffle away as fast as possible, IRL. I'm suggesting the samee thing in RO.

Sometimes there's really no point to diving when it doesn't bring anything between you and the nade.

I agree with Fusion. If you're playing against decent players who prime their grenades, you're not going to run around grabbing live grenades to throw back. However, if a live grenade lands right in front of your face but you really can't leave your cover without getting shot, then you should be able to try and throw it.

We should be able to pick up grenades for sure! I thought this was a realism based game.....geez, even in dod you can pick up grenades and launch them back...or at least attempt too......=)
