Pick up weapons laying on the ground

How can I pick up weapons, which are laying on the ground (after a soldier gets shot, he drops his weapon and it rests there for a little time)? I

First you must drop your gun. The default key for this is " \ ". Now you can pick up the new gun, the default key for this is " Z ". Get all the ammo too!

Note, you can pick up Panzerfausts without dropping anything, even if you're otherwise full.

I saw this and I read something related. It might help so I'll share what I got : It said "feel free to pick up any weapons you like on the floor, there is nothing wrong using a pssh as a rifleman if you picked the weapon off the ground because the guy who had it previously probably got shot in the nuts."
