This entirely. Revenge tkers, please go be a dick in a million-player game. There are servers full of asshats, just for asshats to be asshatty on. Stay the f out of RO2.

But if you think about it, only a dick would think to choose a niche game to maximize their dickiness which makes people even more pissed which works to the dick's plan.
It blows my mind how much of a dick one can be.

That's a pretty bad attitude the commander had, TKing back is silly and I already see most of us here agree. I got stabbed with a bayonet the other day by someone who fully intended to TK me, but that doesn't really mean I will TK him back, or even want too. I think some people just take the game, or themselves, a bit too seriously.

Indeed.... one intentional TK is one thing.... having the same clown continually TK'ing you is another, however.

Fort Sill, OK
If someone Revenge TKs, especially multiple times I will post screens, ISP and steam ID to the particular server forum for the admin to ban him. Problem solved.

once i saw someone tk random players at the spawn. i couldn't resist drawing my pistol and shooting him in the back of the head. felt good :p.
in general i'm very patient when it comes to tks on the actual battlefield. i usually forgive people if they apologize, and type a quick "sry" in the team chat if i kill a mate.
it's sometimes hard to stay patient, especially when i'm in enemy territory, capping a zone and someone rushes around the corner and mows me down, expecting an enemy. but the same happens to me sometimes, it's just a reflex when a teammate appears from a direction the enemy is expected.
"revenge" doesn't help anyone, except the other team. waste of nerves and reinforcements. it's always good when admins are around, their sheer presence is intimidating chronic tk'ers, because they can't "do their thing" unpunished.

Tking a spawn tker is actually helping the team. Allows your teammates to move out of the spawn.

I usually don't forgive when someone types 'soz'.
Call me picky, but 'soz' has 3 letters as 'sry' and it's technically easier to type since the keys are closer.
'soz' comes off to be as insincere where as 'sry' is an abbreviation of sorry.
I automatically forgive tk if it were my fault (i.e. when i get in their shooting lane, when i'm in a random place, etc) even without 'soz'

That was a rant.

I TK'd my TL one time, however we were in CQC, he was in a corner, i had a PPSh, there was a German in front of him, somehow the German died, and i ended up unloading into the TL.

I apologised and explained; he was cool with it.

I'll say as with everyone who's a good person that it's not ok at all to TK back.

However that changes completely when said TK is deliberate or griefing. However it's really not worth it since it impacts your stats. I see that as a deterrant; but what do i know? I'm Aussie and RO2 doesn't have many players, the ones that play are good people so i don't see this often.

This was an Australian Server. I think GameArena2 or 3
I generally find everybody to be pretty mature. There are still a few such as this guy that are a little zealous.

Those who discourage "snitching" are part of the problem in society.
Amen. If there's a problem, and you refuse to "snitch" to someone who will solve the problem, then you're morally responsible to solve the problem yourself, and your solution will probably not be as good. The current case in point: a server admin banning an intentional teamkiller solves the problem quicker, easier, and with less disruption on the game than if the team gets in a TK battle with him. He still gets to TK, and the game is now ruined for several people instead of just one....or none, really, since the TKer wasn't playing the game anyway.

What are we, like 12?

Rather than playing the game, you'd prefer we'd all turn against each other and exact petty, meaningless revenge against another player?

Why? Why do that when an admin can type a single command and remove the player from our game indefinitely?

Rich poeple go to the police, Broke poeple go the local gangbanger.
Who are you?

It is easier that way. You need to through a lot of trouble to inform admin about an intentional TKer - write down his name, make some screenshoots, find an admin and describe situation to him. Killing your killer is easier because it requires pressing the left mouse button.

I killed a guy by accident - he ran right into my badly thrown grenade (it was back then when I didn't know that some of the windows don't let the grenades through - and maybe everything would be all right, but he decided to insult me. I told him to get off. In the end it was me and my friends versus him and his friends versus German team. We left the server then. No point in playing with fools, even if they were a minority there. Some people are just kids who don't know how to act properly.

I remember the days that I was clueless about the online gaming rules. A decade later I learned 1 thing; There are NO rules whatsoever that are being uphold anyway. Most casual gamers just don't care much about anything in online games and it is really annoying when you are new to online gaming. Being hunted down for a TK happens in every game that alows you to track down teammates. Hell I've done it in 10 years of gaming but only when they really deserve it. Like when they kill you on purpose to steal your weapon or vehicle. That crap still pisses a 32 year old man of to the point that vengeance is a must.

Actually I sometimes TK back when I get TK in a deliberate or stupid way without saying "sorry". But I always type "np" when teamkiller apologize.
