Do the Brits have ISPs other than those three? Maybe you can change your service provider to an alternate company. I'm just saying because "the Man" never seems to listen to petitions, angry customers, or anything else besides the almighty dollar (or pound in this case).

Annoyingly im kinda stuck using virgin media as they are the only ISP in the UK that provide Broadband without a phone line installed in the house. As my flat mate and I both use contract mobile phones there is no need for us to spend

There is a solution to this.
It's called the TOR network.
It has total privacy and is used by several secret services so they can visit websites around the globe without being revealed who they are.

I use it under linux, there might be a windows client too.

Unfortunatly Monk, the ISP`s are giving Phorm direct access to their own servers in real time, so TOR wont work.
