Performance has got WORSE with each patch

Am I the only one? Beta ran fine, game release ran fine (apart from arty) .. patch after patch, now it runs like ****

I mean, seriously, nothing has changed my end. Before 2 patches ago it was perfect, no hitching & great 60FPS (vsync on) locked. Now, well I give up - more hitching and lower FPS, also server browser now takes 5 mins to load?!*?

Is this a consequence of TWI pandering to those with 5yr old hardware? It's not like I have a mega-mega computer either - i7 930 + GTX480 + 6Gb RAM. Anyway rant over, I'm off to cry because TWI have gradually degraded my favorite game to a stuttery mess.

Try to turn vsync off it goes down to 30fps if 60 isnt stable

And for me it got a little better with every patch

The latest patch is by far the best one in relation to performance i have seen.

I can run everything on Max, and get 60FPS+

On the beta i could barely push 20FPS on Max

i7 860 2.8Ghz
GTX 470 1.5GB
8GB RAM

I have a Core2Quad Overclocked to 3.1ghz,
and a GTX570 ~1.5gb
...and
I get 40 FPS if I'm lucky on MAX. Dips to even 10FPS in some instances.

How is this possible.
TWI can you comment? I've done all the possible fixes IE: Delete config, lower acclusion, 1 frame lag, etc. Reinstalled RO2..

Will there be better optimization patches? Or was that the last? I wish my GPU would output more than 50% playing this game.

considering how many people that have cpu's above the minimum requirements that are having problems, i really doubt that they are finished trying to make the game run better.

If you have shadows set to Ultra, use High instead. That should give you a decent boost.

Your CPU is poor. That's how it's possible. Core 2 quads just don't compare to newer i7 processors in single core performance.

It's not top shelf, sorry, but it runs plenty of other games maxed, no reason it should struggle this much for this game.

But I'm counting on the next patches, and adjusting settings accordingly until then.

I have a four year old Core2 Quad Q6600 (OC 3.2) and a GTX560Ti and run the game on all the highest settings (except no AA and no V-sync) 1920 x 1080. I probably average 40-50 fps most of the time on all maps, and usually only dip into the yellow fps when on the game menu between spawning.

Its an older cpu for sure, but calling it poor would be wrong!
