bad launch is not an argument, look at bugfield 3, 9 months STILL ****ty, it only got more expensive and broken with every update, heck they even confirmed that the development of BF4 has already started.
Ok RO2 was kinda ultra cpu bound at launch, gameplay wasn't casual friendly enough nor hardcore enough, it crashed very often for many ppl etc, I still don't regret the 36 euros i spent over it ( discounted digital deluxe version directly from steam because i already owned RO1 )
You can't turn down an excellent WW2 tactical fps just because it was kinda broken at launch, look at killing floor or even black ops,(THAT one was virtually unplayable on release date )
about 1200~ players were online last night, It looks like a low number but i'm sure that 80% of these people really enjoy what they're doing, look forward to any official content update and trying to spread the word about how good this game is.
I feel no "external obligation" when playing RO2, I only play it because I like it so I know that my precious free time @ home will be well spent, on the other hand, 9/10 times that i launch l4d2 or bf3 its because some buddy of mine has spammed me with invitations
