Q6700 @ 3.1ghz
4gb DDR 2 corsair ram
GTX 460 1gb stock
xfx 680i sli mobo
native 1080p monitor

Playing in 1920x1080 with all the graphics set to the max, cept shadows which are set to medium. Turned hardware physics on, vsync off, high aa, and my game runs silky smooth. I have not actually gotten an fps reading using the ingame console command but based off plenty of experience I can say I was running around 50-70 fps, and I never had moments where my game stuttered. Havn't tried the tank battle yet though.

This game runs PATHETICALLY on ATI cards. The game is still in alpha stage, or that's what it feels like anyway. I can't even stand to play it because of the extreme lag. Bias towards Nvidia once again.

First off, you are going to pay a bit more for that great Nvidia performance. I like Nvidia, don't get me wrong. However, my system is no beast and my ATI card runs the game wonderfully on medium or even high at 1600x900 with few noticeable FPS drops. Smoke isn't a problem, nor are large firefights or outdoor scenes and so on. I think if anything I think some people with ATI cards just don't have proper cooling because from my experience ATI cards do get hot and one thing amateur DIY PC builders forget all the time is sufficient cooling for gaming.

Possib;e, but unlikely. Most tools that show GPU usage also moniter temperatures and clocks, most people whinng about ATI cards will probably have noticed that.

I know I would :D

Aw, did I hurt your feelings after all? It sounds like it, because you're putting words in my mouth, either that, or you're just plain slow.

I didn't say ATI's run like crap. Where did you hear me say ATI's run like crap? I have an ATI, and it doesn't run like crap. It just seems to no be pacing at the same speed as ATI equivalents and have problems some of my friends do not have with their Nvidia's.

Alot of it seems to be resonating with a number of peop[le on these forums.

And No, I'm not going to do your reading for you, just because I rubbed you the wrong way.

You are telling other people to buy Nvidia over ATI just because you are having issues. Obviously it is you who has been rubbed the wrong way. So before you continue anymore of this 'just seems that way' tripe, please check that your system has proper airflow/cooling for your parts...the card hasn't been damaged...your drivers are up to date...your power supply is sufficient...your CPU and RAM are powerful enough to avoid any bottleneck etc etc.

AMD Phenom II x4 3.2ghz

Kingston HyperX 1600mhz 4GB (3GB only used because of Win xp 32)

Asus Radeon 6950 DirectCU II 2GB in-game resolution 1920x1080

Windows XP 32

Fps 40-20. Mostly it's 30-20. Hope future patches would bring it up a tad.

Ya it's cooling, that's why I can run every other new game at max with great fps.

No, it's called ****ty coding and optimization.

Will do.

Okay did that.

Don't be daft, recognize the sarcasm when you see it. I doubt people will get Nvidia because I'm whining about ATI.

I still stand by my observations, Nvidias seem to do better.

Windows 7 64bit
i7 860 @ ~3ghz
ATI 5870 1gb
8gb DDR3

1920x1080 - Smooth 60fps on ultra
5960x1080 - 30fps on High, gameplay stutters, probably due to low ram in gpu

Funny because I can't run every game maxed out with great FPS...yet RO2 is running great. My point here is don't assume and point the finger at the GPU manufacturer when it could be any number of other causes.

I've always preferred Nvidia. my previous ATI cards ran a bit noisy and hot. But ATI is great value! but if you have the cash, definitely go Nvidia.

Everyone complaining about ATI vs Nvidia needs to take a step back and realize that Nvidia uses phys-x and ATI does not. This means that any game optimized to have enhanced physics through the phys-x system is going to undoubtedly run better on a Nvidia card unless you have a nvidia phys-x card running separately from your ati card.

Something tells me you have everything maxed, and most importantly shadows maxed which is why you can't reach over 50 fps.... No brainer...
