I strongly like it. Would be nice if they could keep KF2 cosmetic microtransactions only.
Wouldn't be surprising if TW were to pop out a lot of dlcs with new characters and customization gadgets, which is fine by me, as long as they also keep producing high quality free content like maps, weapons, perks, zeds, etc. just like in KF1 to be clear.
Oh well, I bought them all once, I'll buy them all twice.

I hope it IS less shiny, because everything looks like it's covered in petroleum jelly. I might be a UE3 thing because it seemingly common, but I'm not a fan. I hope something is done about it.

It's just bloom. RO2 does it as well. Spartanovka is like playing on the surface of the sun or something with all the bloom. I just keep it permanently turned off.

I don't understand why there's so much negativity on this forum - Everything looks awesome! I'm loving the current character roster (fingers crossed for Sec. Officer Thorne) and the customization looks neat too (Rev. Albert's shades and hat).

On the topic of characters - Can any of the Tripwire folk on here confirm or deny whether player characters will have the MEAT system applied to them too?

I'm gonna avoid the squabbling and actually ask the devs a question:

Why have you decided to include character customisation? This isn't a trick question, I'm just wondering. The idea of weapon and character customisation has been brought up a whole bunch of time on these forums and its never gotten a very good reception. The market research is here for you. I (personally) don't see why you'd put resources into a feature like this when core gameplay has always been what's important to killing floor.

We added it so that people can personalize their avatar and even have 2 people with the same character look different. It's for the community to make cool new stuff. I personally can't wait till the community starts making stuff for the characters, alot of really awesome things can come out of this.

It would be nice if we could choose an image that can be put onto a characters clothing, like at the front of a jacket or back. Just for personal customization that other players can see, would kind of work like sprays in the source engine except it would only be stuck to the clothing. Ideal for a group of friends or clans if any exist.

I remember all the porn sprays in tf2 and l4d.

Speaking of the community making stuff for characters, I would actually really like it if community-made stuff became official, tradeable through the Steam inventory, and marketable on the Steam market. Do it like CS:GO with random drops. This would make it feel less like DLC/microtransactions and the community members that contribute to the game can get compensated for their work as well.

Weapon skins, and custom items for characters would do really great on the market, I just know it. I also believe it would keep the longevity of the game going with people always wanting to get something new while they play. I guess the downside here would be that this feature couldn't be easily implemented into the PS4 version.

Fair answer, thanks for getting back to me. I'm interested to see how this pans out on release.

Thanks again.

Edit: It still strikes me as an odd venture, I get what you're going for don't get me wrong. It just seems sort of 'off topic' for a game that is praised by us all, and by the PC gaming community as a whole, as a game that proves concentrating on simple, solid, well thought out gameplay makes for a cracking game that can stand the test of time. Let's be honest (and I mean no disrespect) KF1 wasn't breaking any new ground on the graphical front. It was pretty basic, but it worked on the merits of the gameplay. I'm just concerned that putting man power into a feature like this is, again, sort of off topic. I may be the only one here that's saying this, but I'm confident that I'm not the only one who thinks so.

Everything looks awesome but I'm just allergic to microtransactions. It'd be great if there were DLC packs instead but if that's off the table, try to keep it cosmetic :D

The splatter decals were visible in the other screenshot batch before. What is more interessting on the new ones. Particles based "Blob Mesh Blood" and PCSS Percentage-Closer Soft Shadows.

I don't think it's character customization. I'm not entirely sure what gave you that impression.

1) It was already confirmed.

2) You can see Ana with red-dyed hair instead of blue and you can see Reverend Alberts with sunglasses. As if the different versions of Mr. Foster in previous videos and screens weren't enough to confirm it.

I just hope people won't use customization to create stupid looking characters.
I just hope is there an option to turn it off.

You're acting like there won't be a limit on the character customization.

I think everyone who is complaining about weapons such as the Impaler, sledge hammer-shotgun and the buzz saw need to stop saying they "don't fit in" that they "didn't like them from the first game" or are not "lore friendly". to start killing floor has some lore where i can see these mabye not fitting in. but, its a game where you fight insane genetically modified clones made in a lab. I would be sad if KF didn't have crazy weapons in it. second, this inst kf1. these weapons could be completely re balanced to be more efficient and fun. As for the characters, they all have their stories which make them fit in. If you like playing as a soldier, great! I love playing the robot in kf1, hearing his occasional "taking" makes me smile. The goal of the game is for everyone to have fun. If that means adding some things you might not like, then don't use them. I'm not here to start a war, just think before complaining is all i want to get across. :)
