Well as the title says. What do you expect the Patriarch can do? How does he heal himself? What new techniques did TW program?

I can assume that he fires rockets and shoots his minigun. I can guess that he might have some sort of charge. Maybe grabs you with his giant beefy arm to heal. One of the articles mentioned he fires rockets into the air when he cant spot you when taking cover.

He still has needles on his waist, so I assume he runs off to heal after taking a certain amount of damage; he did that in KF1.

If I were to compare him to Hans/say he's a different boss to Hans, I'd say he would rely on that big gun of his. So probably a bit slower moving but kinda wrecking the whole area with his gun, cover will be necessary! As a contrast to Hans' most dangerous attacks beinf aggressive melee.

As a melee monster I'd think he would charge like said above, probably able to hit a whole team that's bunched up and split 'em up with concussive force. Of course he can cloak and heal, so 'mando may be useful especially with callout! A Zerk may be useful for keeping him focused on melee mode/not using his gun?

I don't know what kind of resistances he'll have, what did he have in KF1?

I can't remember him having any resistances at all... He was a powerhouse for sure,but nothing a M99 headshot/Crossbow headshot/LAW/AA12 couldn't solve!

The only thing I remember off the top of my head was stacking resistance to pipe bombs. The more times he was hit by pipe bombs the less damage the following pipe would do.

I forgot the exact mechanics, and if the resistance was a buff against a pipe trap or a pipe trail.

From what I've seen, he has mortar, rocket launchers, he will ram into you, hit you with monstrosity of the arm, tentacle of his can pull you in. And yeah, STEALTH. Compared to KF 1, he now seems to cloak everytime he needs to heal and he is really unpredictable from where he'll show up, but you can hear him.

Minigun is really effective at taking out your armor and rockets... Well, you know what rockets do.

On hard, he doesn't deal that much damage, and his attacks push you away from him (aside from tentacle) and most of the times you can outrun him with anything, managed that with lvl4 gunslinger. :)

Here is how I beat him as zerk on hard. Apologies for any grammar mistakes.

We had 2 low lvl medics and 2-10lvl gunslingers, heh.

Somehow patriarch seems easy , easier than hans. Once he starts to fire his minigun/missile I go behind his back(or his side) and power-smash him 24/7 then he runs aways.

Rinse&repeat 3x times, he ofc killed our medic because he got stuck between the wall and the patriarch. Other gunslinger also has died because he got grabbed and insta killed.

And for some reason he managed to ignore me all the time. Only at the latest phase he melee'ed me few times but I managed to parry it.

It wasn't a satisfying battle, sorry to say that but I was disappointed. Hans is more fun and challenging to fight against. Even on normal.

Also does he has a strong resistances against knockdowns? I was hiting him into the head ( with that *squash* sound ) and he only went down once in the entire battle.

Gonna try on sui next time.

I tried this once, and he shot me to pieces nearly instantly
He didn't turn around or point his gun over his shoulder to do this. The bullets were just spraying out at an angle about 170 degrees away from where his gun was pointed, to hit me.

Edit: he can also do the same with his quadruple rockets.
So, in general, just ignore the direction his animation aims in, and assume he's gonna shoot you.

FYI, a C4 pasted on his body can actually somehow tracking him from attacking.

Search for "that" beacon if he goes off stealth.

Aside from having some new tricks, Neo-Patty is quite faithful to the original. I haven't got to encounter him much, but there doesn't seem to be anything massively different from KF1 here.

True. Not that it's a bad thing ,but besides his grapple and his mortar ,there's nothing too new!

Maybe he does something different on higher difficulties? Otherwise in future updates? Or it could even stay like that, I'm fine with his attacks.
