Patch update error?

Try the following open your redorchestra.ini

find this:

[Engine.Engine]
RenderDevice=D3D9Drv.D3D9RenderDevice
;RenderDevice=D3DDrv.D3DRenderDevice
;RenderDevice=Engine.NullRenderDevice
;RenderDevice=OpenGLDrv.OpenGLRenderDevice
;RenderDevice=PixoDrv.PixoRenderDevice

and try changing it to:

[Engine.Engine]
;RenderDevice=D3D9Drv.D3D9RenderDevice
RenderDevice=D3DDrv.D3DRenderDevice
;RenderDevice=Engine.NullRenderDevice
;RenderDevice=OpenGLDrv.OpenGLRenderDevice
;RenderDevice=PixoDrv.PixoRenderDevice

Same problem--log file blank, steam updated, RO busted

Same problem--log file blank, steam updated, RO busted

Same problem : run time error on RO.exe requested unusual shutdown.

RedO.log file is empty.
Steam is fully updated.
Restarting does nothing.

This is the SteamStats log;

OS is fully patched Win XP Pro. Everything worked great before patch. Post patch nothing works.

RedOrchestra.log is blank.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

was the magical cure for mine - verify worked ok, but still had same errors.
Changing that 1 line was a magical fix though....

This fix worked for me.

Try if you can get it to work using:
RenderDevice=D3D9Drv.D3D9RenderDevice

but disabling bloom in the settings (how you can see on last page). I just wonder if that fixes it aswell. Because the D3D9 patch is a bit more optimized although your card is a dx8 card if it worked before you can probably get it to work by disabling bloom.
