Thus far I am very pleased with the update.

I am a little disappointed with some of the UI changes. I don't care for the new fonts (but that's just me).

A bigger concern - however - is that when in game I find icons and text to be larger on my screen than before, taking up more screen real estate. I'm playing at 2560x1600, and I find it annoying. I can only imagine what it is like at lower resolutions.

I like the new version...Although the CONSTANT session banned make it impossible to play..

Every game I go now, Speed hack detected, pouf, session banned, just when I get into the game...

yeah....I definitely cant play this anymore, I usually get session banned after 5 minutes of playing, just enough time to really get in the game. Session ban @ everywhere ! every time ! ANY SERVER ! My connection is good too. I try many thing, always the same thing...

Im sad to say Il have to put it back on the dusty shelve for this very reason.
Other than this. Everything seem great, ( even though I sometime sink in the ground )

Run this http://www.pingtest.net/ and see how well your internet connection comes out. I used to have issues with this a while back and found out I had extraordinary amounts of packet loss.

It says I have 0% packet loss,
63ms Ping,
110 ms jitter
Line quality : D

Any Idea how I can fix these ?

I tried the test again and now IM getting an A grade, with 1ms jitter,11 ping, and 0% packet loss

The simplest thing you could do is to just see if there's anything running in the background like automatic updates. Then run any anti-virus, malware, spyware programs to check your PC is clean.

If it aint any of that, contact your Internet Service Provider and see if there's anything they can do to help clean up the conncetion.

would be so good, if this could be simple.

wow. I've never seen jitter that high...

I presume you are on a shared connection? (In other words, you have a router, and other people in your house use the connection as well?)

If this is the case, other people suddenly downloading something, or something like that can definitely impact your network performance, especially if your bandwidth is on the low side.

If you - like most ISPs offer here - have a connection with a large downstream bandwidth, but limited upstream bandwidth, it is very easy for someone with a bittorrent client to saturate your upstream bandwidth, and kill your network performance.

Issues like this can also be caused by a faulty router, or by your ISP.

I also recommend signing up for an account (free, you just need an account for the advanced tools) on www.dslreports.com and running their 30 day ping test. Read the charts and see if you notice any trends. This may help in finding the issue.

I don't know why but even on very low Graphics I can't get over the 60 fps benchmark, maybe its because I use a AMD processor?

Or the engine is locked at that frame rate ...

Both of you are right.

By default the game engine is limited to 62 fps by a config line in the .ini file. You can change this if you'd like. In ROGame.ini there is a line called "MaxSmoothFramerate" you can play with. There is also a MinSmoothFramerate option that I understand should be set to 10-15fps below your max. I have never played with these though, as since this is not a wrist-snapper of a game, you really don't need anything above 60fps.

In fact, I like that it is limited, this keeps my video card cooler and quieter than it otherwise would have been :)

That being said no AMD CPU currently on the market is fast enough to maintain a constant framerate at 60 or above. When I had my Phenom II X6 1090T overclocked at 4Ghz my framerate would range from 40-60fps depending on what was going on on the screen, and my video cards had pretty low GPU utilization, so I knew I was being CPU limited.

I was planning on upgrading to AMD's new Bulldozer / FX architecture when it was launched, but when I read how it was actually slower than Phenom II's in many poorly threaded applications (like RO2) i made the jump to Intel and haven't looked back.

With AMD CPU's you should be able to get it to peak above 60fps (provided you use low enough settings or have a fast enough video card, but no AMD CPU currently out there is fast enough to keep it up there.

I tried very low graphics but it doesn't go above 60 maybe is a limitation or something, but Ive heard people reaching over 200 fps if they had an intel perfomant processor and good video card. But I searched on Internet and I'm thinking that some of them are lying.

Then find your ROEngine.ini file in My Documents/My games/RedOrchestra2/ROgame/Config folder.

Open it in notepad and find this line MaxSmoothedFrameRate=62.000000

Alter it to MaxSmoothedFrameRate=200.000000

Save the file and you should be good..;)

Hope it works, but I don't want to make my hardware like crazy sometimes I get some weird freezes in the game it freezes and my soldier moves forward without me doing anyting I don't know if it is because of servers or anything else but is very annoying I get killed very often because of this.

Client side hit detection! After abandoning this game a couple of months after it came out I'm updating it now and will be giving it another shot. There is even a local populated server playing classic mode.
Client side hit detection might not even be needed if I actually get the ping I should rather than 200+ I used to get once there were more than 5 people on a server...
