RO devs, is there really a bead on the top edge of fausts like that? I have never seen anything like that before. I always thought you lined up the edge of the faust in the sight.

I presume the different-sized open rectangles in the Panzerfaust sight were used to approximately range the target, but I have not found any info on this either in my library of WWII books, or on the net. Anyone have an idea if it is possible to range a tank using that sight?

Yes, though it takes some practice, i personally guess the Range by the look of the Tank without sights, so i can't give you hints, but you can always go in practice mode and test it out :).

The Panzerfaust didn't have a bead on the front sight like in the game.

You'd just line up the apeture with the target, and the hight of the apeture dictated the angle of elevation and therefore the range etc.

Using the Panzerfaust is trial & error to get right, the first time I ever tried using it I missed the tank that was a short distance away & blew myself up.

I still miss on occasion with the odd over the top shots but getting better.

I much prefer the PT as it is easier to use.

Andrei - can I steal your quote, please?

"In Soviet Russia videogame consumes you..."

Sure, Alan :)! Recently I've heard a better version: "In Soviet Russia computer game plays you..." It's from Xplay. They are noobs though..
