Kriegstadt is a very nice map, but in public play, it usually plays like bf2. (50 % of team standing at tank spawn TK'ing each other)

Welcome to RO Tetsu !

I am rather surprised to see that you loved the game right off the bat !
It took me a few days to get used to the change comming from CS1.6&BF2

This is indeed a fantastic and rewarding game.

As much as I recognize that my gaming and forum activity has brutally dropped...

I will always say that playing RO has been the most rewarding and refreshing gameplay I have had in years.

Edit

Very Very rare.
I personally NEVER seen a cheater... (playing since release of OST) however, unlike watching people in cs... it is near impossible to detect.
I never had a problem with someone that is showing off as god slaughtering people in exagerated ways....
The worst you might encounter are little miserable children teamkilling or being asshats... but even those are rare to my eyes.

yea i came round to it straight away, i guess i could just see the potential and knew that some effort would yield results. i wasn't really prepared for the amount of yielding though, yielding that's been keeping me up at night

i actually tried to play CS again the other day and it felt about as deep as pacman in comparison to this. i cant really put my finger on exactly why this game overwhelmed me, but at the moment I'm even enjoying dieing which is something i do regularly. although I'm happy in the middle of the score board. tbh I'm not even checking my score, i get so caught up in the atmosphere that only my team is important to me.

i've already got 2 friends to buy the game but i wont be happy until i've brought at least 10 to the game.

i'm glad i didn't get this game in the sale as imo tripwire deserve a lot more than 10$ from me and in fact i'd be more than happy to pay 40$.

Depends on the server and who's playing. I find the Aussie servers have a lot more teamwork happening on them than US or EU servers as there's a very high proportion not just of clanners (mainly from 4-5 large local clans) but also good mates who all get on and play RO together after a day at work or whatever, rather than dribs and drabs from about 5-10 clans and some pubbers. I've played Kriegstadt about twice online (I really would love to see a 24/7 Danzig or Arad server replaced with a Krieg/Pariser/K

And THAT is exactly why this game rocks so very much.

Camping, Ro dying?!
Personally people that say Ro is dying are the people that dont play it, if you like the game and enjoy it, then thats what matters most.

They say the same thing for Operation Flashpoint because everyone is playing the retarded but prettier look alike Armed Assault. Believe me the community might be small but bewteen the number of clans, the activity, and the major mods being worked on and coming out soon, I'd have to say this game really just begun .

As for camping, why are you camping?
Well in the 187th our Team Leader wont let anyone camp not that anyone does but to win you need everyone in the cap zone, camping is for the kids that are new and scared.

But scared of what? you can respawn, I tell the new guys that become members with us that the only way to become good is to get your *** out where the fight is and get yourself killed, hang out with the good players, and discover what to do and what not to do by getting killed and observing what the better of the bunch do and then incorporate those ideas into your reporatore.

I used to camp when I first started til I had guys yelling at me on the team i was on, because to tell you the truth unless your a sniper you aint doin **** if your camping.

but good luck to you in RO!

we're talking about "camping" as being in a key position defending the cap zones perfectly, with no need to push forward. basically playing. not huddling in spawn crying.
