Other driver's annoying habits

My #1 most hated habit that other drivers do is ride or tailgate you at an intersection. I drive an old '90 Ford Ranger, standard transmission. And when I look in my rear view and can't even see the lights of the guy behind me, it makes me WANT to stall, roll back, and screw up the idiot's bumper, because, unlike him, the scratches on my truck would probably be an improvement.

You think that's bad, try it when you're driving an MR2 and there's a big ass SUV behind you. You look in the rear view mirror and all you see is grill. You KNOW if you stop suddenly that SUV isn't even going to notice the speed bump as it just keeps on going.

I generally keep pretty calm in traffic. You have to realize that most people don't WANT to be assholes, they just simply don't know how to drive all that well.

The only thing that will make me grind my teeth is when people speed up to make a lane change in front of me when the road is clear for miles behind.

Funny thing about speed, it's all relative.

I had a friend from the U.S. tell me once that people in Toronto are all frustrated Nascar drivers. The highway speed limit around here is technically 100kmh (about 65mph), but the average speed is at least 120 (75mph) and 140 (87mph) is quite common (the police don't even really take notice until you're doing more than 140).

The only way I'd do the speed limit on Toronto freeways is if I had a ski ramp on the back of my car. One guy joked that we change tires at 100kmh around here.

I agree. There are some people who buy these massive construction site trucks, who are definitely not in the construction business because their truck is completely spotless and shiny and waxed with nothing in the truckbed and no other passengers, for the express purpose of it's intimidation factor. They want to go fast, and they want other people to move out of their way. This effect is multiplied at nighttime when these two massive headlights obscure any way of driving safely. Who cares if you pay an arm and a leg for gas? +1 ego

Speeding of any sorts by general traffic isn't anything new. The interstate here is generally pretty fast. Farthest left lane is usually moving around 80-90mph in a 65mph zone. The best sense of speeding I see is commonly doing 55-60 in a 45 or 35.

Biggest thing I hate about the drivers here is that feel the need to slow down for every little soft turn in the road. Plus, people who hit their brakes softly enough to not do anything other than turn the light on are also pretty damn annoying. Especially going down hill. Makes me think they're actually going to slow down, so I do. D:<

But seriously... I love it when someone flies up and starts tailgating me and after I get out of their way I end up right next to them at a stop light a few miles down the road. Usually I just smile with what I hope is my best "gosh, glad I got out of your way asshole" look.

I hate it when I am cruising down the road, you see the car at the stop sign and they tear ass to pull out in front of you to go 10 miles an hour under the speedlimt. Meanwhile, there wasn't a car behind me for a mile that they could have pulled out in a orderly fashion and I could have been on my way.

Oh yeah, and another one. When you are behind someone turning left and you stop and some asshole tries to squeeze through on the right. If I see they are going to do it, I will put my turn signal on to the right and act like I am going for it. This usually get me screeching tires and a finger.

ok im just going to admitt it, I hate all other drivers but me. for I am the best and everyone else is an ass.


Another thing i love/hate is when im driving a really nice and fast car and some idiot with a fart cannon and a huge-ass spoiler pull up to me and act like they wanna go as if their car stands a chance just because they saw the fast and furous movies. I then tear off and leave them far far behind cause i can and know what my car will do.

Yeah, the sad part is, that's true. People will kill just because they are upset that they can't pass someone and shave off .5 seconds to get to their destination. I hate people.

I live on a highway and my driveway breaks off at a 90 degree angle. Even with blinker(which very few drivers around here even bother to use) and brake lights, people feel no need to slow down so they don't slam into your ass when you come to a complete stop(the only way to make the turn without flying through my neighbor's fence, and probably his shed by the time you'd stop). It's been more than once that I've gotten run off the driveway and stopped just barely before going through that fence.

I can't stand people who just don't pay attention to what the hell they are doing. But, a majority of people are morons anyways. Me included, but atleast not when I am going 65 mph with other half-ton peices of steel and aluminum.

People who don't indicate are some of the worst. Or people who are too ignorant to notice they have carried on indicating past a turning.... so you pull out infront of them when they get to the turning and they carry on going..... what a *****.
