Bluehawk, your ? is purely opinion based, but that being the case I will give you mine. I prefer FFUR 2007 2.5, it is simply amazing! Y2K3 has been replaced by a "Modern Combat Mod" that is also pretty good. It is similiar to FFUR 2007, but it does not have the extra packs that enhance that trees and buildings. By no means am I a OFP guru, so there may be more differences that others can point out.

Perhaps some minor ones, i dont know for sure.

just got this game, i downloaded some mods, and would like to know witch are the best campaigns or missions to start learning the game.
i just started fdf campaign, but in the second mission they ask me to stay by the car a long time, and the only way to see some action is to invade the village. can i accomplish the missions if i don't follow the orders?
and does anyone still play MP on this game, or has everyone moved to Arma?

Yeah, eventually you'll be ordered to man the weapon ring and offer supporting fire while you tear-*** through the village.
thats the problem, they tell me to man the gun, but i have waited for 10 min and nothing....

I tried to play it online, but the only options were LAN, and I can't do that. Is there anything I must do to play online? Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Um I was just wondering if I had to install Gamespy arcade to play OFP online, cuz it seems when I start the game, it says network games on LAN, and there's a remote option in the corner. I click join, but it won't refresh. Am I missing something?
Oh and just to make sure, the latest version is 1.96 right? I went to codemasters.com>patches, but I dont know which one to get. Should I download the OFP cold war crisis if I got red hammer upgrade cd too? Or should I get the resistance 1.96 upgrade, but I dont have resistance.
And are there any good mods, like that are realistic, not that dinasour thingy. That screenshot with the guy with the FAMAS with French commandos looks interesting, what's that? Oh and what's that one with the bus you stole that looks fun lol!

you should buy the goty edition. nearly every mod/addon requires resistance. thats the reason why you dont see any server, they all running res.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to pick up OFP the first time around. Now, however, I have purchased a copy of the GOTY edition (with the Resistance and Red Hammer expansions) off the internet which arrived today. However, I have been dismayed to find there are no iron sights in the game! A little poking around on the interweb and I found that they should be in there, which sounds right because I was able to play this game briefly before and I do recall the game having iron sights. So what gives? If it's of any help, I am patched to v1.85, according to the game's main men.
If this question is noobish or has been asked and answered in this thread, I apologize, but my internet is crap right now and would take me untold hours to load and read through this whole thread, and I'm pretty sure I can't use the search function to search through only one thread.
