Yeah because that has to be all the free weekend brought to the game right? I have not ran into any of the above all weekend. Your argument is pretty much based entirely on anecdotal events and major generalizations. Come up with something better.

Relax. I don't think anyone disagrees they are 'new' and that the Internet is a hive of villainy and douche-baggery. You think this is bad? L4D's free weekends were even worse, because the team work there is even more specific and learned than KF's.
I have just as much fun educating new people, finding gems in the rough, or abandoning annoying jackasses to the swarm as regular games of KF. Just like L4D.

I played over the weekend at least 12 hours total.
I saw none of what you describe. Only new, low level people who weren't very good at the game.
My only gripe is that many of the servers were loaded/laggy and finding a decent game was difficult. That has more to do with the sheer number of people, and servers that did not update appropriately, than the attitude of any of the players.
No, the game will be full of griefers, spammers and trolls when TWI no longer has the money to fund improvement upon the game, it goes stale, and most of the dedicated player base migrates to something else.
Free weekends are an excellent method of advertising a game. You'll see Valve do this occasionally. It works. I find every argument in this thread against it laughable, elitist, or both.
I wouldn't be able to deal with not being able to find a slot in any populated server once every 2 months.
More anecdotes and generalizations. I might as well be arguing with myself since you guys are just dodging the question every time. I am still waiting for that one argument that proves that the free weekend was or will not be beneficial for the game in the long term.

I also convinced people to keep their flashlights off, stating that if they didn't it would enrage the Fleshpound like a witch. I used the Flashlight on the shotgun (And a shotgun shell) to make it appear true, and not a SINGLE person ever flipped on the flashlight again!
And I kept telling the CSS bunnies that the 'Auto Buy Last Equipment' key (Yes, they died enough to need to look for such a key, despite having no money!) was "B" and grabbing the money they dropped when the spam pressed it...

Again, I am talking LONG TERM(here I even made it orange in case it helps you understand) here not just NOW. You are generalizing because you keep assuming that every single players that comes out of the free weekend is a dumbass. You throw in anecdotes and then try to claim that it what always happens, which really isn't the case as otherwise I would probably be complaining too. I ran into new players, some with potential, some just bad in general but nothing that would make a free weekend a bad idea at the end of the day.
The pros far out weight the cons.

That is certainly funny. But lets be honest here, you could do that to pretty much any new players in any game. Sure some are more gullible than others, but I'm sure many really thought that you were trying to help and just got burned instead. When you just don't know and someone tells you something that could be true but isn't you are bound to fall for it.
