You were right, that solved it.

I am baffled - however - that after some 4 or 5 months of play Windows suddenly decided that RO2 was a VOIP program, after never treating it as such before.

It's not like I made any configuration changes either... :confused:

Anyway, I really appreciate your help!

That is strange, but I'm glad the solution worked. I had the problem early on in the release so I don't imagine any reason it wouldn't do anything until now for you. Maybe you were behind on Windows updates or something? Had you recently done a system restore? Who knows. PC mysteries. That'd make a good tv show.

System is patched almost daily if there are any updates.

No drivers / hardware have been added/removed/modified in some time

Likewise, there hasn't been much in the way of new software lately (though I did re-install CPU-z the other day, I doubt this is related at all :p )

The system was a clean Win7 pro install when I picked up my 3930K, which would have been about mid November. Before that It was running Win7 Pro installed back in June/July without ever seeing this issue.

I wonder if a recent windows patch enabled this for me.
