  2. unzip the archive
  3. copy the custom folder (located in the archive at cookedpc) to the cookedpc folder in your ro2 installation folder (e.g. c:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\red orchestra 2\rogame\cookedpc)
  4. copy the ogledow_b3 folder (located in the archive at cookedpc\maps) to the maps folder in your ro2 installation folder (e.g. c:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\red orchestra 2\rogame\cookedpc\maps)
if you did it all correct, then the following files should be at the following locations in your ro2 installation folder.

  • c:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\red orchestra 2\rogame\cookedpc\custom\props_ogledow.upk

  • c:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\red orchestra 2\rogame\cookedpc\maps\ogledow_b3\te-ogledow_b3.roe
that's all!!!

How did you get the soldiers to not show player names etc? I WANT! Is it server side or a configurable client-side?

Some problems I could see:

-At the ruins inbetween the two pairs of sandbags, too good of a spot?

-Haystacks are non collidable, look weird too.

-Stairs in ruins untextured

-Need more cover nodes (you're aware of this)

And most importantly:

Make squad leader spawn points, this map can work out very good with squads since there is only one spawn point for both teams, having squad leader spawn points could save a lot of time running around the map!!!

I think it's a server setting.

And yes, the pics look awesome! :D

I loved playing this map! Just need to add an assault weapon or two which will be easier to stomach once weapon sway and all that is re-looked at.

Check me if I am wrong here but the only way to get this working in on a server is if everyone has the map files already on their local machines ?

If so, any word from TWI on when they might have the downloading working ?

I just finished testing Beta 3, great job!
But I must say that the light is beautiful, but it seems to me that it will be hard to play with light like this.
I mean that light reduces the visibility.

Anyway map is cool, and can't wait to play it!

Please increase the amount of grass and their view distance as right now on ultra grass is very sparse and appears to grow 20m infront of you. I know this is done for performance reasons but I think the range of it can be increased to 80m or so.

Is there any alternative link to download the map from? Somehow the link in the first post here doesn't work for me.

There isn't any other download source, but I just tried the link and it works. Try again by clicking directly from the link on the post; yesterday I copied and pasted the link from the forum in a PM to a friend and I didn't realize until he couldn't download that the forum truncates the link. Either click the link itself or right click and Copy Shortcut so you get the whole link. If that doesn't work let me know and we will come up with some other way to get you the file.
