I thought Zyntetic was going to do the game soundtrack, he confirmed it here sometime ago

They should add a mixture of artists to KF2 i personally would like to see Sonic Mayhem do a song or two for KF2.

Well zYnthetic isn't the only one doing music for the game (he wasn't the only one in KF1 either) but he IS confirmed for KF2. The article states that those artists are involved with the game "and more" so they probably just didn't mention zYnthetic and others since they're not as big and it would be awkward to list all of them in one sentence.

I don't know how legit this site is but it's a cool announcement nonetheless.

And if the soundtrack is to coincide wth the games release..

April 21st it is then..:D
doesn't sound wrong. do game's soundtracks ever get released before the game is released? if not then that release date must be wrong.. this is too good to be true. if it was 21st april and there is ea then ea must be very soon.

Check zYnthetics fb page. He said all those artists will be in the soundtrack, including him ofc.

It really doesn't make much sense for an OST to release before the actual game. So if we could get confirmation that the release date for the soundtrack is indeed April 21st then it lends credible evidence that the game will either release the same date or within a few weeks of it.

If that is the truth it will be great. Really appreciated the latest videos and tracks within them. Would love to see Lamb of God and Dethklok in it too, but that`ll do.

they probably just didn't mention zYnthetic

because anyone interested knows I'm there already ;)

More seriously, that's half true. KF players that are into the soundtrack know me already. Probably not so much the other artists so we shine some light on them. Large music press rarely covers small indies and even less so game soundtracks. Since I'm not on their radar I'm not exposed to their audience. Using artists they have heard of can be used to create an interest in something they probably didn't know about (KF2). So people that follow the game get to hear about new artists and people that follow the artists hear about a new game. Everyone learns something new.

It's not unheard of to drop the soundtrack in advance of the release to fuel the hype. I think the artists who worked on Binding of Isaac had the whole soundtrack up on Bandcamp or w/e that you could listen to, and purchase, days before the release if not early.

But if it is coinciding with the EA release....sssooooommmmeeeeebbbboooooddddyyyyy's getting a ppppphoooonnnneeeeee call.

If that is true, i'm running out of time to get all my achievements in KF 1 Z_z... but, if it's true its also gonna be fun playing the hell out of KF 2, prob will still play KF 1 though, as i'm nostalgic like that. :)~
