So for nVidia user, if you're having lag (as I was) here's a possible solution.

I was getting a solid 30 FPS before the update, on Ultra. Then after the updates began, I went down to 1-10 FPS. A user on another forum found an apparent fix. Create an exception for RO2 in the nVidia Control Panel, and turn everything to application managed. The lag went away for me, and I think I'm getting better performance than before.

Manage 3D Setting>Program Settings>Add>Navigate to Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/red orchestra 2/Binaries/Win32/rogame.exe

Then set all those little options that you can to "Let the application decide." If they don't have that option, then leave them alone.

No change for me...

i7 2600k 3.4
580gtx 1.5gig

runs 55-60 most of the time, but anytime i spawn, ads, or run around a corner, it drops to less than 2fps...sometimes 1 frame for 5-6 seconds...

this patch actually made it worse for me

this is getting very unacceptable. turning things down actually makes it worse now. used to i could set to low/medium and get a solid frame rate, now its chop city. I wouldn't even care what fps I got, as long as it was over 30fps, and was consistent. The FPS it self isnt so important, as the consistency is. Going from 60 fps to 15 fps, is like running into a brick wall at full sprint. I'd rather run at 30fps with no dip at all.

I am a very patient person, but I may be putting this title on the shelf till next year if something isn't fixed soon.

The reality is this - unless you have flagged the correct AA modes via Nvidia Inspector or you are using altered/modded Nvidia driver, changing the AA via the NVCP is going to do nothing! Why? Because the drivers are flagged to do NOTHING WHEN THE RED ORCHESTRA 2 FLAG IS SELECTED UNDER AA!!!!!

I applaud your attempt to help, as others, but as a PC enthusiast this type of crap is soooooooooooooooooo misleading and it is found on every official forum for every game out there.

If YOU saw a boost, you have messed up drivers and should do a CLEAN install or you have some other issues via your drivers/gpu/game install

well actually i have serious fps issues expecially when running or in large open space. Turning off or setting Mlaa to ultra doesn't affect it at all... AA it's not the cause of fps drop, at least for me.

People...reread what I said - you can twiddle with the AA controls in the NVCP all you want, it wont do jack - you will not gain or loose fps unless you rip open the drivers hidden settings and change the flags that are selected. This is because Nvidia has a little button switched that tells the driver to do NOTHING with AA in RO2...read that again slowly...

If you suddenly gain fps or loose them and have not changed the hidden flags within the NVCP you have issues either with you a) fps counter, b) your diver installation, c) your game installation, or d) you GPU.

THE OP HAS NO IDEA WTF HE IS TALKING ABOUT.

I completely agree with you 100%. Though I have been having sound trouble along with the framerate issue. I also may not be playing this game for a while if this isn't fixed soon. This patch completely ruins the game for a lot of people. It really is a disapointment.

Set Pre-Render frames to 1, this can also help.

Don't force AA though, it hides the text in menus, and 32xAA creates white lines around soldiers, no it does not highlight them.
