Noob Question About LAW

The LAW is a Support Specialist weapon, but does its damage count towards shotgun damage(to boost Support Specialist) or does it count towards explosive damage(to boost Demolition)?

100% sure that demo perk will boost LAW's damage and u can try it yourself.

I don't think he meant boost as in damage or power I think he meant damage towards leveling.

Well the LAW was made for the support so i guess it only counts toward support.

Killing enemies with LAW counts as demolition damage, unless they ninjapatched something to reverse it as prior demolition perk existed it used to count towards shotgun damage.

Its very odd actually.

The damage increase is treated as grenade damage and is increased for both Support and Demoman. So the Demoman will level from it, whereas the Support won't.

However the actually ammo capacity is calculated from the supports additional shotgun ammo, which is why the Demoman gets no extra rockets but the Support does.

Why on earth it isn't just all tied to grenades and left as is is beyond me... but hey ho, hopefully the balance update will fix it

Well the LAW was made for the support so i guess it only counts toward support.

I leveled my demo perk using LAW when there is like 10k dmg left before level 6 so it probably count as demo dmg.

Dun dis the law, it ment for Support as it's the only class that can carry it and another weapon. It pretty useless if its ur only weapon. However, on more than a few occasions the law has acted as a very reliant anti-one-in-the-pipe and will usually stop the patty for firing that bloody thing if u hit him before he fires.

If you are using the LAW and not saying you are only using it for the luls, then you need to be kicked.

No the LAW was put into the game because it was in the kfmod in all versions. Clearly you need to play it sometime.

Anyway, the law should be given a huge damage boost for how expensive it is(no discount wtf?) and for how much space it takes up.
