How come when I look out some windows I don't see the fog that is on my map. It is like its a sunny day when its really not. Do I need a zoneinfo in that specific room?

Putting aside any BSP errors, you probably have the room that you are standing in when you can't see the fog separated from the rest of the level by zone portals. IIRC you have to be in the same zone as the fog to see it. Put the editor into zone/portal view and fly around to see where the zones are.

I can't remember the technique to get the fog to view correctly tho- hopefully someone else can. I would try a fog zone in the room, but it would be hard to balance it with the fog out side.

EDIT

BTW post some screens what the new map of?

Make sure you have the room completely sealed in with your portals as Slashbot mentioned, then copy your ZoneInfo actor (don't cut) and paste it into the room. Rebuild the map and that should be it, barring any BSP errors.

While we're on the subject....

While we're on the subject....

Without having to experiment myself in a real battle, has the problem with explosive effects not shattering windows been fixed, or do HE shells still treat windows as if they're solid steel?

Thanks....

If you have thick fog outside but you don't want your room to be all foggy you can set the minimum fog distance so the fog only starts outside the room, so to speak.
If you want different fog in the room than outside you might have to cheat and color the window glass to fake the effect.
