T-34 is underpowered and the hull AI screws with game balance.

I have a fix for this.

-Increase armor thickness on the T-34/76

-Dumb down the whole Tank AI, ESPECIALLY the MG Gunner
-When the AI Loader dies make the MG Gunner take his place so you can keep using your tank efficiently but without the MG
-Remove Tank AI Crew for Realistic mode but still include an option for you to have a Tank all for yourself and Steam friends that are playing on your team (you can invite them to join)

Once the AI hull gunner is toned down a bit tanks will be on servers again.
I think combined arms is integral. Infantry on these enclosed maps can certainly mush tanks with team work. But most of all tanks have the desired effect in RO2... cause tank fear, suppression and general act as a mobile breakthrough point.... if supported by infantry properly.

I would like our half tracks to be able to tow and deploy AT guns though.

Realistically and/or historically incorrect. Why would you want this (side biased)? Look here:

If the T34 is underpowered vs the ptrs 784(r) then the correct thing would be to decrease ptrs 784(r) penetration...not to increase the armor and fu*k over the KwK 40...

+1 Teamwork is the answer to defeating tanks on CA maps, the veteran RO guys know this, but some of the new players just don't bother with teamwork of any kind, let alone tank support, and simple moan when they get owned by the aimbot in the hull gun.
Instead of moaning they should be trying to flank the tank to destroy it.
Keep the AI loader, but remove the other bots altogether.
As Rommel says the tank armour is as historically correct as TWI could make it, but the weaker T34 armour should be balanced out by giving the Allies more reinforcements.

Yesterday in the gumlak map it was 3vs2. 3 panzers against 2 panzers.
But with my teammate i had a kind of teamwork and gave the
gemans no chance.

And guess what the opponent wrote?

WE ARE CHEATERS.........
As irrelevant as this is to the OP, arguments like this spank my goat a little. Clearly imbalances can be overcome when one pits a better team against another, in some cases even grossly imbalanced gameplay can be overcome with skill alone. The only true test of balance is when one pits equally skilled players against one another.

Ofcourse you are all right.

When i play as a tanker in a combi map, my opinion is that it is no fun.

- Too often you are stuck to an object, so you are fighting more
with the game than against the enemy.

- there is not enough room for the tanker

- the ai is too good, that isn`t also enjoyable. (mg gunner)

So i agree to play these maps without tanks.

It's pretty easy to see why tanks have been removed from most servers (for the better). The AI hull MG gunner in the tanks has aimbot skills, which totally kills gameplay and essentially allows the human driver to rack up kills (often by spawn camping) without doing anything.

In addition, the tank armor values and hit detection is seriously borked to the point where tank combat is rather pointless. Until TWI fixes these bugs and makes tank combat actually realistic (in addition to removing the AI gunners), you won't see tanks returning on most servers any time soon.

I thought the tanks were fine, people just dont seem to know how to react to the tank instead of letting it MG everyone. Tanks are death traps, just like in all games with vehicles, assuming you know how to defeat them.
