All of these major immersion sound features are missing. Guns sound same inside an outside, no death cries, no supersonic cracks. All missing. And they were in beta.

What's bothering me about the ingame sound the most are my own character's sounds. Half the time I think there's somone behind me, because the sounds I make comes frome behind me for some reason.

yes they should bring these back-and to go with that work on setting up a complete immersion into the realities of stalingrad-women fighting alongside their husbands(quite common in the beginning when the Germans arrived)-the never ending moans of the dying and wounded-both armies had a tough time evacuating the wounded being as the lines dividing russian and german troops were at times 50 feet apart-etc-etc-etc--with todays sound tech you could surpass what doom3 acheived back in the day as a enviromental sound game.

Suffering of the same bug here. Even tried setting the audio channels to 128. Found this in ROEngine.ini

MaxChannels=128

I wonder if changing soundquality to 1 or 2 would help.

There is definitely something wrong with the sounds. I sometimes still hear a long drawn out death moan at Grain Elevator far away, but I am not even sure it is connected to someone actually dying or yet another bug, but otherwise no death moans or long cries anymore anywhere. Immersion really suffers from this, as those sounds was one of the things that impressed me most when playing the beta for the first time.

I'm not sure about death cries, but I rarely ever hear the bullet crack. I've heard it two times and thought it was neat. I haven't noticed echo since beta :confused: I remember thinking it was really cool.

I've tried onboard sound of my p6x58d-e and I've tried razer barracuda ac-1 sound card. I've tried 6ch direct (only way to get 5.1 positional sound with this game), coax, and optical. I'm using logitech z-5500 speakers (5.1).

Not being a gun afficionado I have no idea what you mean by bullet crack, but all the others are missing. And as mentioned in this thread:

Some of the voices from different voice actors that were in the beta is also missing now (remember the guy with the squeaky voice for example?).

Thanks. But I wouldn't know how to discern that sound and the sound of the gun firing. At least I didn't notice it in the beta.

Yeah, the death cries are missing, It was really an immersive feature, hope they fix them...

EDIT: Now I noticed that some voices are also missing, there is just this one deep manly voice.
