Game runs great, but I have no sound. I have updated my audio drivers and then restarted my computer but still no sound. I am running sound out of my front headphone jack on the computer now, and before that it also didn't work.

The sound works great on everything else, but just not RO2.

Any ideas?

Any ideas guys? Is this a common bug? If it is not uncommon, can you please give me some ideas how to resolve this issue? I have been a long time RO fan, and really wan't this game to work.

Thanks

I'm just adding to crazycaptain56's report.

I have not had sound on Red Orchestra: Heroes of Stalingrad for over a week now.

I had sound when the Beta first launched, and then when I logged in one day, no sound.

I know earlier on, there were other reports of players having similar issues, but most of them reported having sound at login and during the opening developer credits, but no sound in-game.

I have no sound at all when I launch the game through Steam. My other games work fine, my computer sound is fine otherwise.

I don't know if system specs will help with this. I did uninstall the nVidia HD audio driver that some people reported may have a conflict, but it made zero difference.

I am running my 5.1 Surround Sound off my Motherboard.

In all other instances, I do believe my drivers are up to date. One person I spoke to thought the game might be looking at the wrong device for sound somehow? Yet I had sound before, and now I don't.

I appreciate this would not be a priority fix with all the graphics/performance issues others are experiencing. I can say that with regards to game play and graphics, the game is stunning on my machine, and I have very little to none problems with my video graphics.

Thanks for your attention to this, and if anyone has some step-by-step troubleshooting, I'm keen for some help.

Usually when this happens people had an external sound device attached such as an usb headphone.

RO2 probably uses the default windows sound output, but only sends it to one output where windows can send it to 2 devices. So try to see what the primary sound is for windows.

Sometimes having say a hdmi cable attached somewhere makes it put out sound over the digital out and other weird stuff.

(of course make sure as well that the game isn't starting with the -nosound tag)
