I have had the beta for the last four days, and have not gotten to play it one time! This is a result of 0servers\0filtered.
I can connect through ip, the server starts to load, but after a while it just stopes. It also has a blue 'paused' in the middle of the screen, any help?

Same problem here - only servers I can find are servers still running the old maps. I was able to join a server through the console with an IP address, but the server browser doesn't work.

The suggestion here partially helped me. Sometimes servers show up, other times I get 0servers/0filtered and I have to restart RO2 and they magically appear again.

However, after the recent patch of the beta I have found that all servers appear empty and I am unable to connect.

i have the same problem, however i was able to connect with no problem before THIS last update. Now all the servers i see are empty and they are running old maps. When i try to connect it says "the host has downloadable content you do not"

it seems like ever patch breaks the game in some fashion

But do remember, this is the beta. If not for the beta, this game would get a crap review. Cheers to tripwire for working hard on a holiday weekend.

yep same ole, no servers in the browser and sometimes it shows them but they are all unpopulated with old maps, the master server .vdf does not fix it, nor does restarting pc or steam, reinstalling steam, or validating the game files, still waiting on a fix like many others, i too believe that since the last update it may have somehow messed up the server browser again.

Yeah, masterservers.vdf files don't do anything, i've also updated my drivers, lowered settings, restarted internet, re-downloaded multiple times, and much more. All of that has done nothing. Good luck fixing it tripwire! You're in the hole now, good thing it's only beta.

Just wanted to add to this thread, and say I'm also having this issue as well.. If I might, I can share a few extra details which might help the developers in pin-pointing the problem;

PROBLEM: I went to the server browser, and it would report 0 number of servers on the network, but yet it would report a large total population of players across the network, I assume accurately. I did try turning off all the filters to see what would happen, and that brought up some servers (about maybe 70 or so at the time), but which were ALL empty... (even with the total population on the network at the time being reported at over 2000). And if I attempted to connect to any of those, they would not let me, stating the server had "Downloadable Content" which I did not have..

In addition, I noticed something odd which may be part of what the problem is. If you click through the tabs across the top of the browser screen so many times, the total number of servers available suddenly drops to "0" and refreshing will not do anything to fix it... you have to close down the game and wait for a while to re-run it and to get the server browser working again.. Or you can shut down the game and STEAM, and immediately re-run everything to get it back without waiting.

HISTORY: Before the current patch, the problem was only sporadic, the browser worked somewhat off and on. But after the patch, the problem seems to have become permanent.

MY SYSTEM: consists of an AMD Quad Core processor, 4 gigs of RAM, On-Board Sound, and Networking (NVIDIA chipset), and a Sparkle 9800GT Video card, running on the Windows 7 Ultimate O/S. Connected via a Netgear Router.

In other thoughts I plan to check out the network configurations, and router ports and see if any of that might matter. I'll get back to ya. I'm confident this will get fixed by release date.

QUICK UPDATE:

I ran RO2 this morning to try and tinker around with it some more.. Out of the total of 49 Servers (with population around 2200) that were reported running, they were almost all still being reported with 0 players.. EXCEPT 9 of them.. they actually came up as having players on them.. almost all of the ones that were working are being run by the TWB CLAN. With another one being run by the TWI clan, and a few independent servers (including one Swedish server).

I tested out the ones reporting to have players on them, and they worked fine.

I was thinking, could it be something on the server side not getting through or synchronizing?? Whatever it is, TWB Clan seems to be doing everything right! It might be worth asking how they have their servers configured and such.
