Is there going to be no level progression at all? That will be a shame, i kinda liked progressing whit my classes, i just found it kinda hard, as it sometimes took ages. I still havent hit level 90, after years of gameplay (And i still havent hit even level 25 whit the anti tank guns haha). I think they should keep some kind of level progression.

I hope there isn't any progression in terms of weapon locks, improved players stats, and improves weapon stats. The only thing I hope for is progression in player skins and weapon skins similar to that in RO2/RS.

This is basically the idea. We won't have 'better' stuff locked behind a level wall (improved weapons, better stats, &etc) but you will have ways to track and indicate your experience and progress.

We figure being a more experienced player is advantage enough.

I love the idea of not having weapons unlock.
But what are experience and progress for if they are just for show?

I'm not the type of playing a match for 1 hour then repeat everything all over again.

yeah, i dont want to level up just for show, i want something in return! But many players don't want any unlocking system

I'm a little confused, what would you be repeating all over again? When you play any game now you are basically just playing the same thing over and over again.

I'm fine with new weapons that come with a level up for a class, provided it's not completely overpowered or is not an obvious choice to the previous weapon. Just not Honor level buffs, and role buffs to stats from leveling up.

You mean it hasn't ecen influenced your choice of weapon in the slightest? I highly doubt that.

i've been playing with same weapon since game was released. barely touched any other

ot: good, weapon unlocks belongs to CoD, they started this **** trend

I still play with bolt action rifles 90% of the time, and not because I have a comp that loads the map slowly. In terms of immersion and realism no game has ever come close, for me, to RO's style of gunplay (even the watered down, more accessible gunplay of HoS is still a good level above most other FPS competitors), especially when it comes to bolts. Imo, this should be the most pertinent aspect when designing any and all FPS games, not gimmicky crap like levelling and unlocks etc...

I'm glad the devs dropped progression unlocks, they have little place in FPS in my opinion.

I always grind for the weapon that will give me the most kills. Getting kills defines much of the fun for me, so naturally, leveling systems are just a barrier to quickly surpass. Either way I'll get what I need, but ditching the leveling system would speed up the work to get there.

For me it's sneaking up behind an MG42 spraying from the hip, and stabbing him in the head, or building clearing with a rifle. :D
It's the weapons that seem underpowered, or have clear disadvantages, that really make me want to use them, to spite others, sometimes. More often I end up liking the playstyle of these weapons more than, say the standard SMG.
