Light map size and other lighting/shadow issues make day/night cycles VERY unlikely I would imagine.
But bring on the rain.

Great idea!Seasonal change wouldnt be possible on the fly. However most sections were fought for twice, so the primary difference on the map would be a beauty pass. This is not easy or whatever, but its easier than start with a completely new map from the starting position.
Play Penguin's Partisan Forrest map. While I enjoy it, a lot of people moan and gripe about it because they can't see anything.
And then of course there are those that adjust the contrast and gamma on their monitors to brighten things up and more or less defeat the mappers intent.....

I do hope that any day/night cycle wont change in a game over a period of a 30 minute map. But rather would be initiated at the beginning of map and perhaps change just slightly.
I like the Day/Night option.![]()
Have anyone noticed that the screens of the grain elevator are in pretty sunny bright mid day, and in the video interview, playing the same map, it looks like fugly cloudy afternoon?

You can see a clear sky, and the light coming from the exact opposite direction.
I really hope this means random weather and daytime... because I liked the screenshots much better than the looks of the map in the video, I'm tired of so much grittiness everywhere, so I really hope that the visuals in the video are not just "the new version" of the map.
