i can get 30 ping on 64 player servers in bf 3 .. so there is room for improvement in this game ..

Sniper-rifles are swaying like im drunk in bf 3

you can not deploy bipodded weapons on objecs in bf3, or to some degree, but is extremely bugged.

you need 7!! shots to kill someone with a pistol from very close range .. 3 shots with a sniper rifle .. gtfo.

there is no stamina.. u can sprint until you get tired from holding down shift.

almost everyone plays engineer, and use the rpg or smaw as their primary weapon.

NO TOGGLE AIM!! such a pain in the #

Back to the title " Next Patch(es) coming? "

Somehow I'm not really eager to see new patches when I'm thinking it is the today's new TWI at work and not the "old" one . Somehow I expect from day to day to see crosshairs, wizzards and magic spelling weapons in RO.
Maybe I need to chill down. They will be available by extrapolation just in RO3.

Not at all... I dont think ANY game is ever released bug-free and 100%, care to name one?

The Secret of Monkey Island
Monkey Island 2: LeChucks Revenge
Loom
Zool
Zool 2
Duck Hunt
Lemmings
Prince of Persia NES/DOS
Prince of Persia 2 NES/DOS

Basically anything pre 1999 when companies finally realized that most gamers are pawns and will shell out the $$$ for any half baked beta as long as you advertise.

And yes, me personally, i expect that I am buying a finished product. Has it become wrong to walk into a store and expect to have pickles in my jar when i buy it? Rather than a note saying that eventually the store will put pickles in my jar?

Not necessarily 100% because i know **** happens, but definitely over 90%. Hell, in my industry anything over 10% below spec is legally criminal.

Speaking of $$$ how has $60 become a reasonable price for a videogame? I mean really?

My god this post makes me sound ancient. Oh well.

I don't think you understand how development works.
I know it's hard to believe but games are a lot more complex now... sadly not in the gameplay department but at the very least in the technical department. There's a lot more room for error

Dice listens to the community, Comma Rossa, Jets, Weapon Damage. Dice supports every game with patching well after release, and they also have an extensive content plan for BF3.

lol someone has forgotten the entire BF series. DICE doesn't patch stuff beyond "barely playble" They are too busy pushing out the next turd for you guys to eat to finish the last game they made.

I have played the entire BF series, and I have never played one that was "barely" playable.

Name one bug from any BF game that persists to this day that makes it "barely playable"

Bad Company 2 has still got that awful rubber banding for me, a craptastic server browser that manages disconnect from the EA servers every goddamn time and its well over a year since it was released...

EDIT:
You downloaded 90 % of the game and you paused and shut down your PC? Well that is too bad because you are going to download the whole game from scratch when you log back in...

I have not experienced a single downside to using origin, steam is nice, but it is not the only option.

EDIT: there are a lot of advantages to using your own download service, like not having to wait for steam to push out your game fixing update because they are not working that day =/

That's a problem only you have, as I have not heard anyone in my clan ever experience these problems. My BFBC2 runs flawlessly on all high and never experienced any problem with the server browser.

Maybe its your hardware/internet?

All I am saying is that RO2 really doesn't have many features that set it apart, and the reasons people enjoyed RO1 are not in RO2 primarily the huge maps with personnel vehicles and tactical gameplay.

I have played the entire BF series, and I have never played one that was "barely" playable.

most all the bugs and glitches were still in the game
1942 had a list of graphical problems along with connecting to multiplayer problems, map glitching and what not
BF Vietnam had the same problems of 1942 and they didn't fix much at all
BF2 with all the expansions had a problems with seeing the expansions, keeping track of what you had, xp system, along with many graphical and sound issues. the aircraft never got fixed... so much to remember
BF2142 never bought cause BF2 was such a buggy never fixed mess but I remember seeing a PB issue that caused lag that everyone was say hey fix this that took them 8months to address not to mention the regular DICE problems with graphics, seeing servers, XP not being saved, classes disapearing etc.
BFBC Beta game for BFBC2
I bought BFBC2 because I heard it was good, I was tricked see above link
BFBC2 Vietnam, reskinned buggier version of BFBC2

the release for BF3 was actually surprisingly smooth.

i'm the kind of person who critisizes everything, but in terms of performance i have nothing to say about BF3; runs smooth as butter and most forum users can corroborate.

Perhaps i am not familiar wih the minute details of game design, no, but i would see extra complexity as more of a reason to spend extra time developing and testing in-house. It just seems to me that more and more companies are just hacking together some artwork and 3D models and then glossing over the code. A sort of "throw it out the door and see what happens" approach. Letting the consumer discover problems and bring them to their attention. You do not see this in any other industry, because people get sued for it.

sadly not in the gameplay department but at the very least in the technical department.

This, unfortunately, is true and a depressing topic for another day.

well:

Only at certain angles and I've never noticed any issue with this.

A couple of times on Gumrak I've had a shot go in one side and take out the gunner and commander.

There are many areas that a tank can be hit that can be fatal; fuel tanks, ammo storage etc, it's really something I haven't noticed

?

I've had my gun knocked out once or twice

There's been a few times I've seen people using the T34 properly and flanking aroung the enemy putting one shot into their rear and killing them. That's the best and most common tactic in Commisars House, use speed and maneuverability to get around behind your enemy.

Exactly the same on the T34, AI hull gunners in general need nerfing.

Again, a well placed shot from a T34 will easily kill a panzer or it's crew

see, everything you have posted is with the stipulation "once or twice" or with the stipulation "well placed" while it's great that it is actually possible, it seems that the panzer 4 can hit general areas and kill many things, where as the T-34 has to be a crack shot to destroy systems or crew members.

it says that 8 million people played the open beta, and with a development team/budget that size it was still released with numerous bugs/issues

people are quick to paint it as the perfect game and ro2 as a piece of trash

tbf.

I mean recent :p Ofcourse there ARE games that have been released pretty well but most of them were back when games were not as complex
