The last beta patch has the FOV slider maxed out at 75 degrees. Is this a mistake, because I really hope it is. What is the rationale for forcing the FOV to such a small area, considering all the thought that went into the zoom system, perhipheral vision stuff, etc. Right now we have a choice between 70 and 75 degrees, which might as well not even be seperate options.

Why the change from 90? And will this be fixed in the final release?

It better be fixed or I want my money back. Even at $35 this game wouldn't be worth it.

I cannot stand playing games at low fov; it makes me nauseous and hurts my eyes. This is for console games. PC fps games should allow 90 degrees fov at the bare minimum.

Just go in ROengine.ini and set FOVAngle to what you want.

We shouldn't have to do that, the option was already there to have it a 90. This is just a cheap way for them to cover up a glaring flaw. If I knew I was going to deal with this garbage I would've saved my money and gotten BF3 on Origin.

There was an issue with higher FoVs allowing people to see through objects at certain angles IIRC - maybe they couldn't fix it

Here's hoping they fix the bug properly. Perhaps adjust the character model to prevent standing so close to parallel walls that it allows any see-through to occur at the edges at fov 90. Don't just prevent people from using a reasonable fov. 75 gives some people motion sickness or headaches because it is so unnaturally narrow when used on a widescreen PC monitor.

Are there any release notes yet? I used to use an FOV of 85 so I'm a little bit miffed, but at least everyone will now have about the same FOV.

Maybe they couldn't fix it... in time. Probably working on it as we speak.

Dont get their hopes up. If TW couldn't fix it in time for release why would they lock everyone at 75fov? That kind of issue isn't game-breaking if it's only a short term thing (unless it was the cause of stability issues), so there is either no viable solution or it's going to take a long, long time to fix.

...or it's some kind of coding mistake - i dunno.

Maximum FOV 75 ?!

Maximum FOV 75 ?!

This is "optimizing" ? Give us at least 80 please :(

I have an 550 Ti and if I'm having less the 80 when I sprint the vision "narrows", it's like Need for Speed when you drive faster or preparing for Warp speed :D

Can you increase it please ? It physically makes me sick. And I need my sprint

They also remove zoom scaling sliders for ironsight zoom with different weapons, which was imo a great feature. Really, no clue here about what they are thinking.

I don't care so much if it's an in game option.
As long as people can do it without using third party software and hacks.
AKA .ini tweaking. But if I'm stuck at that FOV it sort of is game breaking for me and really, really not cool.

I must have been doing something wrong because I could never see the difference between the minimum and maximum setting on those sliders.
