new zed idea - flying sort of

hello to all, i'm just one of KF fans out there & my idea for a new zed is a flying one. maybe a bat resemblance or a half human half bat soft of thing. anyway the idea is this specimen can pull players off the ground and inflict overtime damage while off the ground but when someone would shoot the specimen the player would be back on his feet making the specimen dead. if i can remember there's also a flying enemy in UT2K4 invasion game mode which can be set as an example or basis of this flying zed. by the way i also agree with the idea of a dog specimen which runs at you at great speed lol :D

I think this idea should be considered. All specimens atm are walking on surface, I mean this would bring whole different gaming experience to KF. Just imagine ppl would now on look above more often. But there would be problems with maps where you are inside buildings, don't you think?

We have enough "Specimens that run at you at great speed" already, so we don't really need "zed-dogs" to fight...

As for flying ones, that'd be alright, though hard to work out within the game. Just looking at the Unreal Tournament Invasion mode alone, you'd be shocked how easily the flying enemies could get caught on the terrain, twig out with the AI and fly off the level, and various other bugs.

Personally, the only "Flying Zed" that I need are ones hit with my Double-Barreled Hunting Shotgun...

They already fly out of KF-Office's windows.

Crawlers already "fly" at you from where-ever-they-want-to-spawn.
Thinking of the possible hitbox issue with the flying zed makes me cringe.

I know it's difficult to imagine.. some maps are too small, but how about a small flying specimen. maybe smaller than a crawler a little bit which can lift you up a little :cool:

A flying creature wouldnt be hard to hit nor the hitbox would be difficult. It would just be as if a clot was walking on the ceiling. Though the problem is if it was fast with ground support than there would be problems at times. I say something that flies slowly but had a lot of health that shoots something. Something else to fear other than a FP or scrake.
