They haven't said anything about making new weapons but in a recent RO related announcement (was yesterday, actually) they mentioned that they'd be doing a bit more KF over the summer (is that right?). What this could be, who knows? It could be just a couple of community maps and more necessary updates or it could be like the giant update from around summer 2009. Who knows? Fingers crossed!
Also, I honestly doubt we'd have to pay for them. We never have before and looking at TWI's policy where no player should miss out on core game content, we shouldn't have to pay at all.
- A new second tier shotgun (the hunting shotgun is weak, 2 shots to have to reload for that long, i mean come on)
- A tier 2 & 3 medic rifle, the MP7 again is too weak, yes your a medic, but when the clot hits the fan its like firing a BB gun at a fleshpound.
- Another tier 3 sharpshooter rifle, the crossbow just aint cutting it anymore
- New melee weapons, crowbar, kitchen mop, cattle prod, you know the basics that bring fun, you know you can see yourself batting a scrake away with a mop now and seeing a clot do the shakes after being lit up with the cattle prod, pure fun
- a new commando rifle, G36 or something, just something more than the same 3 machine guns
- Flamer needs a new flamer, give the guy the husks cannon (I know its already a mod, i saw the thread, but it aint official)
- New pistols, bring in a colt python or magnum revolver, everyone loves those beautys
- Demolitions need C4 they can control, instead of the pipe bomb which is touch activated, boy throws some C4, lets a bloat walk over it, Fleshy comes along, KABOOOM, flesh showa!
well, Commando weapons and zerker weapons shouldn't be added for show; TWI is a small company, and, unlike Valve, cannot code a bunch of near-identical weapons to flood the game with.I'd like to see a few more guns make the cut, hell get a doom 3 sentry bot in, that mod rules, i want to see more servers with that one, but to the point, yeah i'd like more guns, I feel the "official" selection now is growing thin, things i'd alter:

- Create a perk specifically for pistols and dual-wielding pistols. I find using a single pistol it's WAY simpler to line up headshots, and almost always just pick up extra pistols to sell. Having a damage / speed / jumping based perk might be a fun class to play as most classes tend to benefit more from hunkering down rather than wheeling around the maps. This might also allow for someone with this perk to access doors or weapon / ammo drops other players can't quite get to. On the other hand, a core mechanic of the game is to never be able to be in an area specimens can't physically reach you, so jumping higher may not be a viable option for most existing maps.
A 'Gunslinger' might be able to have a chance to cause stun damage to specimens, which would be a benefit in solo or team-based play.

Somewhat agreed, but not with extraordinary firepower (a tad higher, sure, but not something outrageous), but i'd rather get new ways of healing with these weapons. Ummm... no. Each weapon needs some sort of purpose, and all of those would just be useless. Unless you want them as alternative skins for the already existing weapons,thus only being cosmetic changes, which im totally ok with. The only melee weapon i'd like to "add", is Dual Machetes. Especially if they (and the Fire Axe too- New melee weapons, crowbar, kitchen mop, cattle prod, you know the basics that bring fun, you know you can see yourself batting a scrake away with a mop now and seeing a clot do the shakes after being lit up with the cattle prod, pure fun
Random weapons FTL. A new mechanic with it, sure, like burst fire and an underslung grenade launcher, then we are talking. Otherwise, a simple Bullpup/AK/Scar alternative added? Pointless addition (in terms of production value) for TWI.- a new commando rifle, G36 or something, just something more than the same 3 machine guns

There is Ivan&Jack's Mk23, a middle ground between the 9mm and HC. That's basicly all that's needed (And imo, i would pehaps consider this weapon the alternative to give the M14's laser to instead!)- New pistols, bring in a colt python or magnum revolver, everyone loves those beautys

Ummm... no. Each weapon needs some sort of purpose, and all of those would just be useless. Especially if they (and the Fire Axe too) become throwable. Then they would actually be something cool and useful for the Berserker. It would be a better crowdclearer / ZED time extender than Katana, but weaker for hit and runs. Also a good Berserker levelling weapon / offperk backup weapon when money is more of an issue.

A revolver would sure be nice though! But then again, when i think of revolvers, i think of Halflife 1's revolver. I truly fell in love with it hehe... the sound... the power... OM NOM NOM!
