My thoughts are that any lever-action/bolt-action/semi-auto rifle wouldn't be different enough to be worth the effort to choose between it and the winchester.

ah well i guess a 7.62x51mm is way more powerfull than a .44 magnum

You could also make it so you can buy different optics for the SA80. EOTech, Aimpoint, the standard British Army optic, etc.

How about SKS (10 round fixed magazine) or SKS-D (uses AK47 mags) for semi-auto rifle?

Or even better yet L1A1. Licence built British copy of FN FAL, 20 round detachable magazines, semi-auto and 7.62x51 NATO rounds. Since the game is set in UK this could be really good weapon choice.
