Just made up a story about the M7A3: :D

When the Horzine Corp. started it's experiments, they were hoping to achieve a new era of modern combat. However the specimen were unstable and hard to control. After an incident on the 22nd June in 2005, where a Fleshpound killed 5 scientists and 17 guards, 9mm pistols and 5.65mm assault rifles have proven to be ineffective. To prevent further incidents the Horzine Corp. did not abandon the project, but was working on a new weapon. The Horzine M7A3 was the result. It is a large caliber Assault rifle, built for immense stopping power and accuracy. Firing .416 Tungsten coated depleated uranium projectiles at high speed, the M7A3 can penetrate concrete walls without much projectile deformation. Due to its high recoil the fire rate had to be reduced to 200 rpm and it's internal parts had to be reenforced. The first damage tests on living specimen were terrifying. After a month every Horzine soldier was armed with the M7A3. Even though the Horzine Corp. was not able to put down the threat of the specimen in 2008. The high recoil and low mag capacity made the M7A3 ineffective against small specimen. The tungsten rounds were unmatched in penetration power, however lacked on projectile deformation damage. Lt. Mastersons squads could escape the Horzine outbreak, taking some M7A3's with them.
Due to its compatibility with Horzines healing dart system, the rifle soon became favored under combat medics. It's low magazine count still made it ineffective for Commando soldiers.
There are rumors however, that skilled medics were able to increase its magazine count to 30 rounds, which would make it a decent weapon.
It's highly armor piercing ammo turned out to have less damage then a standart 7.62mm Nato round, but much more penetration power.
Due to it's special ammo and low avaliability traders charged increadibly high amounts of money for ammo and the rifle itsself. This lead to a lack of good equiped combat medics and bad morale in the squads. To solve this problem the traders gave a high discount on the rifle for medics.

Finally I can be a true combat medic without having to buy a dang katana or xbow! I should host a special beta session. I am jumping the gun(laugh dang it!) so I will be patient to get my head shot on.

Well the mp7 cost of 3000 gets reduced to almost nothing thanks to the medic discount.

It's 15000 atm because of the medic discount and it will not replace any weapon. Imo the mag count is fine with 15 shots or maybe 20, but the medic also gets high cap mags when leveling up. Otherwise the weapon might get too powerfull.
Of course this rifle will have a healing dart and the scope is supposed to be a green reflex sight but the idea of a hightech zoom scope is nice too.

Ah ofc, stupid me.

I actually think a scoped weapon would be cool just to add variety. Unless it steps too much on sharpshooters territory?

Well I guess it could hardly step more on Sharpshooter territory than using the crossbow does. I think the scope could be a nice touch.

I don't mean to be an ***, but is a white or light background for the screenshots out of the question?

Just raise the Gamma a bit and you can clearly see this beauty. Come on, it doesn't even have textures, so you're not missing a lot by raising the gamma.

I'm not going to adjust my gamma. I don't why someone would want to show off professional high quality work by posting screenshot of an unlit black weapon against a black background, but that's me.

Loving the look and story of the weapon Jack, but i do have a small idea
Would it be possible to add "Tracer"effects every round or 5? Not only would this look awesome, It'd show where you hit on the specimen, or if you used 5 rounds. Since some people love having No Hud activated.

Just a thought~ And keep up the wonderful work!

You know why..... Because we can! :D
But here are some Beta Textures
http://h-1.abload.de/img/m7a3betatexture2guu5.jpg

I see pretty grey rectangles. Some pretty dark grey rectangles. A green glow and a pistol grip. Looks awesome. And before someone says something about my monitor, I've got a 30" hardware calibrated S-IPS screen.

But hey, if you want to show off your work by displaying a dimly lit dark weapon against a dark background, go for it.
