AJHHHHHHHHHHHH! This is so bad! this is just rage inducing!

They showed 2 weapons being used, 1 from firebug, not a single god dam grenade and talked about crap that we had in months ago because they apparently just got it! Not to mention a voice that makes me want to pull my own ears out!

TABLE FLIPPED!

Seriously, why not give it to someone who already had the Killing Floor 2 Early access that can actually assess the new perks on their own and have some experience with the game in the first place?!? God this makes me so ****ing angry.

"Careful. We got a WITCH" instead of siren.

And in the beginning, when the demo ran out of ammo with his primary weapon, he goes for the welder...

Did they actually play KF before ?

More important, it seems the first weapon of the demo does not hurt the player even at very close range. They are level 0 so I do not think their damage resistance should be that high already.

Maybe these guys are some of the best KF2 players and were selected, and in the video they decided to play dumb to wind up the rest of us. Yeah, let's go with that. :p

The important info I think are, for the demo, as follow :

Grenade Pistol : Weight 4 : 24 ammo.
One important info is that the first weapon of the demo - grenade pistol- weight four. Because it's an handgun, I was expecting to weight 2.

I think this is quite heavy (you do not have lot of ammo ONLY 24/ the ROF is not great because you need to reload each time) for 4. It will however depend if you can kill clots and variation with a body shot... (seems to be the case). Hopefully, the gorefast too. Even if you need to be level 15 in demo or something.

(In the video, it seems it kill gorefast even if you aim to the floor but they play on normal).

Grenade Launcher : Weight 7 : 16 ammo.

It's less ammo than killing floor 1.
Seems the damage is good enough, you can however get hit by your grenade. It seems it took 3 hit to kill the fleshpound on 6 man normal difficult but I think some shoot did not fully impact it.

Important note : Like the berserker, the demo can not use its Tier 3 and Tier 4 together.

RPG 7 - Weight 10 : 12 Ammo.

My thoughts : I think the demo has really not enough ammunition. However, it seems the passive ability will increase the ammo he can hold. So, that could be interesting.
Hopefully, the ammo will increase of 10% for each five level so you get up to 50% more ammo.
I'm also concerned with the fact that every weapon need to reload between each shot. I would have like a T3 with maybe 3-6 rounds... Maybe next time :)

Because that would actually be unfair treatment.

They gave the early build to Game reviewers. They play lots of different games to "test" them and give their feedback to the public. They arent particularly good at games unless they just review some game that's their niche.

There's nothing wrong with giving them to people who try out games and write reviews for them before the public gets their hands on them. This is literally nothing new.

I agree giving it to someone with more experience in KF would give better specific feedback, but that's literally around the corner when we get it sometime this week (or the next)

Yeah, because of these issues you mention it's a class that holds very little interest to me. With such limited ammo you really need to hold that trigger until you can get a good grouping to maximize your AOE damage. I'm way too hands-on of a player to remain interested with that role.

Blazur, I'm not really that much into demo either. I never really liked the idea of having to spend two seconds for each shot. I only used (in KF1) the grenade launcher as a berserker in order to get rid of crawlers :D

In KF2, I think that the T1 of demo may be a good sidearm offperk.

As the class in itself, the lack of ammo is a problem (keeping in mind we still do not have access to all the info yet). The other problem is that it's a class is, in my opinion, that you need to have an open map.

I mean, in the video, you clearly see that playing demo in a catacomb is a bad idea : the ennemy appears from everywhere, they get close easily so your shot does not detonate / or you get hurt in the process, you get surrounded easily and with your arsenal it's almost impossible to get away.

For now, the only map where I think demo can be great is Buring Paris.
Outpost/Manor can have some nice spots if you stay outside.
Biotic and the two news map : It's probably hard to play demo in such closed map.

TWI would rather people who don't know what they're doing demo the update and advertise it for them.

Meanwhile, the game has a bad rep among the fans and even the most hardcore TWI defender can't recommend the game at the current stage. (FWIW: I recommend the game if you enjoy being challenged, but not if content is all you care about).

Personally, if I was a potential customer, I wouldn't say that video got me excited about the update. And neither did the other reviews since those people don't even know what they're talking about in most cases ("the only class that can take down an SC / FP was Support").

With that said, I hope the update drops today or tomorrow since I'll have plenty of time to play it before going back to work.

Remember Demo gets extra explosive ammo as a passive bonus, and (as shown in the video), gets a certain amount every 5 levels. I'm assuming 5 or 10%, so 25% or 50%.

I wouldn't be as angry about the skill of the reviewers if they actually showed off more of the update features instead of a few shots of them screwing around with the nade pistol.

Putting aside skill, video quality, and commentary quality they really only showed 1 weapon in any detail with a small appearance from the m79. Most of the useful info came from people looking at the trader menu.

It didn't really show anything with firebug at all beside a few quick glimses of the cawk n' burn, ignored the C4, no preview of the rpg or microwave gun, didn't show the differences in grenades, no comments on the maps and overall could be summed up as "well the grenade pistol kills things".

Even just from a game review standpoint it's a bad review and a bad preview. Compare that to the destructoid article that hits all the important points. It's like a news anchor review vs some guy with shaky cam screaming "OMG, WHAT IS THAT!?" Seriously, why not get someone like Total Biscuit to do a preview/review? The very first time he put his hands on killing floor 2 he not only was ok to watch but actually asked a lot of important questions and gave a lot of good information.

Edit: not to mention they go off into a bunch of tangents that have absolutely nothing to do with the update. Really, like they need to go on about MGS5 and gamespot reviews to fill time when all the new stuff is right there? Honestly i feel like nearly anyone here could probably record a better video, hit the important points, show off more in a better way and be more entertaining as well as selling it better.

No comment. I'm not the type of guy who talks **** to people for being new to games but then again, these guys said they are tremendous fans of killing floor, which they obviously aren't...

lol i thought the same.
they are, perhaps, huge fans but dont seem to have the "skillset" that you or i would associate with "HC fans". those of us that have lost many hours to the first game. i did laugh seeing one of the lads close range RPG a clot though :D

loving what you've done there TWI btw. it looks like we all will have a good time joining a team of only FB or demo for the coming days after the update goes live :p

19:50 you can see the scrake's chainsaw highlight a bright red for his spin attack. Very nice addition.

27:25 Foster's voice actually has some distortion through his mask.

Atrocious play aside, it's good to see TWI paying attention to the little things that make the game more immersive.

Such a waste of time, I was hoping to actually see the many new features of this update and all I got was some alleged "KF fan" that couldn't even self heal and used the RPG against a clot...

They could at least be informed that the Berserker was entirely reworked so they could show a little bit of him too.

Aren't those "fiery" attack the unparryable ones they mentioned in "Melee Improvements" WWAUT?

One thing bothers me, though, if that's true, they said we would be able to "read" these attacks so we could back off, but it seems they simply unleash them like any other attack, whitout any special delay or anything.

The main thing that bothers me, out of all of this, is these guys have less than Five hours total in Killing Floor 2. It's kind of a bummer to see is all.

Hey can we get a rock solid date on that patch. TWI said last week that it'd be open to opt into early this week. Soooo is it tomorrow? cuzz after Wednesday it's no longer early in the week, and I'd imagine at this time they'd know exactly when it'll be ready. So why not just tell us!

I'm ultra impatient
