Hello,
i'm new to these forums but not new to the game.I've played RO since 3.1 but with huge intervals (due to school and many other stuff).I fell in love with this game when i first saw the 3.1 trailer.
Unfortunately (at this point of view) i'm on a mac so no RO:OST for me.However i will purchase a PC within the release of Windows Vista (for playing purposes mostly).During this forced "break time" i will try to keep in touch with the community and support it wherever i can.

thanks for listening,
Lustmord

Better repost this here :p

I've been an RO fanatic since 2.0, Aussies may have seen me kicking around as 'Nihilist' or since 3.0 as 'The End'. I haven't been able to play much recently... a combination of a lack of Aussie players, and lethargy when it comes to reinstalling UT2k4 have stopped me from playing.

That'll all change though, with a standalone RO and hopefully lots of new meat to keep the Aussie servers populated.

See you on the frontline!

Hey all.

Never played RO before (or even heard of), however I'm currently downloading the UT2K4 mod to try tomorrow.

From what I've read here it sure does sound absolutely awesome.
Also, it's really fantastic to see the developers active and participating on the forums - not something you see regularly!

If I like the UT2K4 mod (which I most certainly will), then I'm preloading tomorrow, in which case I'll see everyone in game in March :D

Hello, my real name is Luis and I'm from Portugal. I've heard about RO since its beggining as a UT2K3 mod and kinda followed its progress since today. However I never had the chance to play the mod because I had a really old computer that couldn't run UT200x, but now I have a new one just in time to play RO:O! :)

Anyway, I'm a FPS lover in general and a Valve fanboy in particular, however I don't discard any other games out there.

My top 5 game list is:

Half-Life 2
Half-Life 1
Day of Defeat (both versions)
Max Payne (my nick originated from this game)
Silent Hill 2

My list would be bigger, but since I've had an old computer for 5 years, I couldn't keep up with the newer releases.

Anyway, I can't wait for RO:O and I hope I can make part of this community for a long time! :D

Hello,
My name is Chris and I live near Gettysburg,PA.

I am just another player coming in from the IWNation forums and that debacle known as COD2.

I still play CODUO though and do still enjoy it but am really looking forward to getting into this game.

I never played the original version when it was a mod but just watching the trailer of the new version I am very impressed to say the least. And it looks like it will be my style of play.

Hello there.

I'm a newbie ROer, looking forward to playing this game.

I'm from Manchester - England.

I have played alot of other "realism" type games, this is a genre I love.
(I class CS as a fps, and games like Rainbow 6 as realism ;))

I hope I can bring something to the community in the future, and I'm very much looking forward to crossing bullets with you all soon.

Hey guys, I'm from Hamilton, New Zealand (the other side of the world from y'all), and as some of you will know, I've been posting here hardcore for a few weeks but am another "newbie" to the game, having never played RO in any form.

My WW2 FPS gaming started with the original Wolfenstein :D and more recently BF1942, CoD, UO, CoD2. Have been playing Cod nearly 2 years most of that time playing clan matches so this will be a bit of a change for me, but I'm ready for that, as things are getting boring and its time for a soemthing else.

Busting to get into this game so many reasons, but I have been saying for so long that tanks in CoD UO were done so poorly and would be better if they had proper tank cockpit views not 3rd person. But RO has gone a step further in the realism dept than I even imagined and done a wonderful job I can see from screenies and the trailer.

Being from such a small country I'm hoping the game takes off over here and we see players on servers etc, otherwise I can play in Aus with a higher ping. You are not likely to see me in Nothern Hemisphere servers unless I pop in to say hi to some familiar names from the forums. Anyway, thanks for making the RO forums experience a nice and welcoming one. :)
