What if stalkers really could kiss you... except they're actually biting your tongue. It'd be like a clot hold except it can only be done if you face their melee. You'd keep taking damage drain and be unable to move until the ***** is dead. Only 1 could 'kiss' you at a time, naturally, so it's not OP. The voice acted lines about kissing are already in place! :D

Stemmed from dextronaut saying stalkers and crawlers needed buffing.

Voted I don't care, cause I agree that Stlakers need a buff of some description, but encrouching on the clots territory isn't the answer far as I see it.

Crawlers are fine in my opinion, cause they force you to deal with them like clots do. Clots you have to take down because they can grab you, and cause major problems. Crawlers force you to dodge or kill very quick, and in the middle of a firefight, that is hard to do.

Stalkers on the other hand tend to get killed as collateral, and even if they do reach you, you can simply walk back out of their attack range. For me the stalker needs: -

- To be able to move as they as attack gorefast/scrake style
- Their cloak should only drop after successfully making an attack
- and/or

- Something like a 50% chance to "dodge" attacks while cloaked.

Last one would of course make it so small arms actually fare better against stalkers cause you can simply pour in more bullets.

Explosives are obviously unaffected, and the FT will barely have a noticable change due to the number of hits the FT has /sec. Commando is stiull great against them due to his large clips and rapid fire rates.

However big things like Xbow bolts, AA12 shells (having only 5 pellets per shell), and Katana/Chainsaw-Alt swings will not be as effective.

Downside is this does further de-buff the Zerker... unless we make the dodge capability distance based. 100% chance to hit at melee range, 75% at close range, 50% at mid range, 25% at long range and full dodge capability over insane range :)

Voted no because that attack would make her even more vulnerable to attacks while kissing the player. When she is kissing her face would be up close hence you could easily shoot her in the face.

So you voted no because you think it's a nerf?...

If you like the idea, but think it is too weak, you could always buff it:
such as making it a bleed effect, so that even a quick bite will keep dealing you damage.
You could also have it bypass armor, seeing as how she's specifically biting your tongue.

It wouldn't get you that often, but if you're careless or get caught reloading, you could be punished in a new and disgusting way.

What if you're a freak and you're actually into that? Wouldn't you gain health instead? :confused:

I actually like that fourth one, because it could put Commando more in charge of killing them if he's close enough to "see" them. It would make more sense for why there's a perk that can see Stalkers, and would give context towards why killing them is part of leveling the perk. It would make Commandos targeting Stalkers from arbitrary because they just want to grind-up their perk to necessary because they're the only perk that can effectively kill them. Though I would perhaps put an exception towards explosives. Bullets make sense, they're invisible so it's harder to aim at them, but an explosion is an explosion. It's not like the impact radius can not notice something that's there.

This is more of a theoretical thing, but I'm not saying no, nor am I saying yes. I just don't mind.

However, if KF had QTEs, I would love to see things like this.

Not that I have the hots for the Stalkers, but you know what I mean...

It is pretty stupid. In order for anything to bite your tongue, it'd have to be sticking out or in the Stalker's mouth and really...who would do that. That's just weird.

I do think Stalkers could use some kind of buff though.

Not just that but the whole idea of biting someones tongue to do damage when you have 10 inch claws in your hands..

Stalkers need a buff, but the kiss idea does seem somewhat silly. Besides most of the characters wear some sort of mask :/

I like the first two suggestions. That, or give them a short-range teleport while cloaked. Story-wise it's NOT REALLY a teleport (which would be somewhat silly), I picture it as your player "losing sight of the cloaked Stalker for a moment", which I think is the aspect of the Stalker that needs to be built on, not being able to keep track of where she is.
