I find this to be unrealistic as the French didn't fight on the Eastern Front.

Actually interestingly enough you had French on both sides during the Eastern Front. You had the French SS and french nationals from Alsace and Lorraine drafted into the Wehrmacht. Also the Russians at the end had some Free French squadrons in Yaks flying for them.

Of course admiringly you had a lot more French fighting in Free French Units in Italy and Southern France.

Absolutely wrong.

I live in the east of France and have met two people who were "sent" to the eastern front.
One is still alive, I spoke to his daughter a couple of months ago.
The War is a subject not open to discussion, something that I respect.

Many, never came back home.

This is a bit off topic, but I can name cheese from a whole bunch of places in Europe, but I can never remember any French cheeses.

What kinds of cheese are made in France?

So, Roquefort looks interesting, but it's made with sheep's milk. What does sheep's milk taste like in a cheese? Is it any good?

only cheese I like is from supermarket and tastes like plastic. Im afraid of other types of cheese :)
