As the battle continues and gets louder, huge horde of hungry apex trash zeds will
aggressively attack players and replace all trash zeds.
if players deal with a wave too long, their chances of survival will decrease dramatically.
if the wave you're currently dealing with is going on for more than 10 minutes, new gorefiends will replace all trash zed groups, replacing more with each minute until 15 minutes.
After 15 minutes pass, giant horde of witches and gorefiends will run fast towards your team to kill you.
Now let's explain these new zeds.
Gorefiends were out of production lines for quite a while, horzine has been working to improve them. They can absorb more damage, they have shorter, curved blades. They have lower jaws now.
New gorefiends are weak to bright lights, if you aim a flashlight at them, you can stop their attack, their skin will almost start to burn. They are aggressive chasers tough to evade, they can climb up the wall, jumping and latching on higher elevations with their curved blades. They can leap at you and will knock you down, they will bite your neck and deal massive damage if you don't bash them. You can stop their dash attack with a flashlight, as long as it works. I also suggested adding emergency marine flares not long ago, and decreasing flashlight battery regeneration time, this would work in conjunction with this new zed, making players waste limited flares to protect them against dash attacks.
Witches - sirens without their straitjacket and howl system, have you ever wondered what will happen if you let them loose? This is the answer. their terrifying appearance
Coupled with long massive claws and speed comparable to berserker sprinting with full stack of movement speed buffs will make any player **** their pants.
Witches only spawn as part of the huge horde that consists of only witches and gorefiends that spawns after 15 minutes in one wave.
While gorefiends will replace all trash zeds.
Both zeds are very fast, gorefiends attack faster with shorter blade arms and witches can't be described as slow too. Gorefiends however are more durable, but witches don't have a weakness to bright light.
Huge horde of these monsters punishes players for being too slow, or makes it hard to comeback as a last player alive, you know those scenarios when berserker or medic are left alive while others die, and they kite for 30 minutes and win, not the most fun thing. Especially if it repeats.
Gorefiend horde will be 10 times more dangerous now, you have to always aim your flashlight at them, or they will leap at you and knock you down.
HUD icon with a skull and timer will indicate how much time you have before huge hungry horde appears, it will activate at 10 minutes and countdown will start
Special soundtrack during huge horde attack? Like intense music with background screams of civilian people and sounds of zed horde that supposedly attack them. These sounds recreate scenes of this zed horde attacking innocent people that don't know anything yet and run away in panic, like during the first outbreak. And this same panic is now taking control of mercs, as they see a giant horde that they may not be prepared for
