New Game Steals Content From Other Games

Dont think this has been posted yet. Found on another forum. A new point and click adventure game called Limbo Of The Lost has been caught ripping out graphics, sounds, ect from other big games. It was developed by a studio called Tri-Tech/Majestic Studios. So far the games ripped off are

This has happened before also for many, many other games.

I know there was some controversy with STALKER because they apparantly used some textures from Half Life and Doom 3. However it turned out that the textures in question were actually part of a larger texture pack sold by a third party to Vavle, ID, and the Stalker devs, so it wasn't stolen at all.

But this looks extremely blatant. Ridiculous. I guess thats what you get for buying a game called "Limbo of the Lost" in the first place. :p

Its absolutely real, the game was actually released, people own copies of it, you can even go download it from.. less legal means and play it yourself, and the publisher has had to recall it.

Just to give some more info: its a point and click adventure game made on the freeware Wintermute engine, it was made by a team of 3 older british blokes (that all look rather.. russian mob), and they secured a deal to get it published.

Sad thing is that Just Adventure originally gave the game a B, and failed to recognize the obvious stolen content.

Afterwards they revised the score to an F, and made a formal apology for giving the aforementioned B :D

Most stupid thing they could do. How do they expect to make money off this game when they obviously
are gonna have to pay big time for this.

There's only two possible explinations for that i can see:

1) They where daft enough to think that nobody would notice or mind.

2) It was all a scam, and they where hoping this would make them enough money to retire somewhere in Brazil before it was noticed.

I'm thinking #2 is the most plausible one myself.

Uh oh, looks like it stole from Diablo 2 as well! In this picture, those bones on the wall are the exact artwork of a shield in Diablo 2 called "Wall of the Eyeless". Proof here.

[EDIT: Wow, they even stole something from one of my favorite all-time classic games, Dark Forces 2: Jedi Knight! In http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=li6-ewgKupA this trailer, at 2:30, that is the sound played when you die in-game. I'd recognize it anywhere.]

For some reason the code got all screwy and cut out the last half of my edit. It's fixed now. [EDIT: No, wait, it's not Jedi Knight, it's Jedi Outcast or Jedi Academy.]
