New Game Mode Like Countdown

A lot of people have been calling for the Countdown mode to make a return, saying they are tired of the endless meat-grinder of a regular Territory of Supremacy match, where players re-spawn and re-spawn endlessly until team tickets are depleted.

If it is possible within the game engine, I would like to suggest a tweak to the idea of Countdown -- in order to foster the same sense of personal responsibility that comes with Countdown (one life) but maintain a longer active game-time, may I suggest a personal limit of lives based on percentage of reinforcements.

For example on a full server, with Team-A starting with 500 reinforcement tickets, each player would be given 15 lives (approximately 500/32). Those lives/tickets would yours to "spend" as you see fit. Knowing you have a finite number of trips to the battlefield per round might make you think differently in certain situations, leading to fewer rushing-Rambos and suicide naders with no fear of death. While a situation may call for that kind of sacrifice, it wouldn't necessarily be the first option players choose. As it stands, there is no personal penalty for the quick and costly deaths, other than diminishing the teams reinforcement tickets.

Another twist approach could be a Raid mode -- one side has a limit of lives and a specific target (like Search and Destroy mode, or Capture the Intel mode etc.) while the other has a larger limit of lives to simulate a larger force. But this idea would likely need to be fleshed out more.

Thanks for reading.
