Everything except what I don't like.

Don't like:
Ppsh using a stick mag all the time,
Bandaging every time you get hit,
people often not dying after hit from a bolt*,
rag dolls look a bit 'off',
"Magazine is full" - it should say mag is heavy,
AI doesn't look best but it may be fixed,
*guns not being powerful enough.

Overall, looks like Ost in UE3 and a vast improvement over earlier demos

Disrike

AI maybe a little wonky as far as terrain navigation
NPC-player collision detection

Notes:

Texture LOD issues may not play well with the console gaming crowd or popular media. Personally, I play Warsow, so I don't exactly care.

I thought the footage looked boss as ****. I don't know what else to say.

I think the "guns not being powerful enough" thing might have just been that the people being shot at got lucky. I know I've been shot in the chest with a bolt action before in RO and not died. It's very rare, but it happens.

What we're going to have to get used to now is bleedout. It takes some time for people to die when they're hit in nonvital areas.

The flipside of that is that you can drop behind cover and wait for them to expire.

breath system even with non sniper weapons
free aim in aim down sight too
mantling!
weapon pick up system, it was so hard to get a certain item from a bunch in a pile in ro1 :)

the game is not out yet and i have to wait like 2 months

Why not the "Magazine Full"? You could tell if the magazine is full by pressing the rounds down... lol

Obviously, the game is meant to be played online. So I'll be holding most my judgements until we can see some of that. Who even played Sp in ro1?...Not me.

What I like?..
Graphics look pretty cool.


What I don't like.
Those horrible little cramped maps. I never played them in RO1, I have no intentions of playing them in RO2, as soon as Danzig came on I would instantly alt-f4 to something else, or just change servers.

To me, Ro is all about large open maps, where fire fights evolved around a large front, endless swarms of enemy charging over open ground through smoke screens supported by halftracks and tanks to secure the first line of trenches, thats what made me love ro.
Therefore, I'm hardly impressed by these narrow linear maps which TW have only shown, and I dare say the majority of the maps will be like this.

Perhaps it was the game mode or the difficulty setting, but shooting people twice with the bolt-actions is rubbish. Plain and simple, rubbish.

The big white icons that flood the screen when your shot.

The massive tactical command rose, just looks whack.

So yeah. You asked I told.
I'm still waiting to see some more maps and the real RO we love.....Multiplayer!

Even though I have a kind of related thread to this I have to say that it is still too early to say anything.

Certain animations could have been updated but not implemented

We haven't seen all the game modes and most of the maps in gameplay

Veteran players or people with experience playing each other just like the game is meant to be played.

Can't base your thoughts on a game from 1-2 videos

I'm kinda not digging the outrageous amount of hud elements and overdetailed writting in your face all the time. "magazine is full" in massive letters sprawled across the screen. You think i wanna see that on my 27" monitor? Hell no. and besides, No SH*T its full, I just reloaded...

The overly anxious mantle/cover icon that pops up ever 2 seconds repeatedly when your just walking past crap, annoying.

Yes i know people have mentioned this stuff, however i don't care and am not really voicing my concerns, just answering the title of the thread.

On the bright side, i kinda love everything else about it.

So make an option to turn off all that overbearing junk that noone needs and i'll be a happy whatchamacallit.
-is what i'd say if i was an ignorant frig that didn't already know that they said it would be off in realism mode.

Ya follow?

Just an FYI: your magazine could not be full. If you reload with a half-empty mag, RO puts it back in your pouch and you'll pull it out later. So it's useful. I do like "Mag is heavy" better than "full" though.

Like:
- Briefings in SP/objectives to do.
- Squad play in SP, and not a lone terminator.
- Music (is that the RO2 music?)
- New menu GUI.
- Explosion effects.
- guns sounds !
- German 1rst person sprint animation.
- Stalin portrait that felt.

Dislike:
- Old death sounds.
- No bullets crack sounds/ mediocre wizz sounds.
- No weapon collision (it's me or it will not be active in RO2? I remember a video from 2009 when the mp40 collided with the window corner, was awesome).

- Weapon switch time.
- Strange ragdolls.
- 2 sec to bandage a wound. (press version?)
- Hit indicator design (can be better)

Of course one should expect that a soldier would know without doubt that one of his fresh, unfired magazines is full. It could be that you guys are simply seeing that message before the "heavy" one is shown.

Whether that sort of intuitiveness carries on to mags from captured weapons (which you really wouldn't know are full or not) is yet to be shown.
